Forums - Gaming - List of Games You've Beaten 2025

I've beaten my 18th game in 2025 today as of November 29th 2025.

Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles for Steam/PC - this also marks the 50th game I've played and finished from the Final Fantasy series!

Just to mention, this is the gaming PC build I used to play this game - which was at 4K 60

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM: 32 GB DDR5 SDRAM
STORAGE: 2 TB SSD
OS: Windows 11 Home

Game: Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles
Genre: Strategy RPG
Developer: Square Enix
Publisher: Square Enix
System: Steam (PC)
Year of Release: 2025
Date of Completion: November 29th 2025
Length of Playthrough: 61 Hours
Score: 100/100

+Retains the gameplay mechanics and aspects of the original PS1 Final Fantasy Tactics but also features QoL addons such as quick speed up during battle and on the world map/cutscenes
+User interface completely renovated to make it look more modern and cleaner along with new colored markers which were not in the original.
+Ability to play Ivalice Chronicles which includes voice over cutscenes and new dialogue and scenes not seen in the original game along with the option to play the original PS1 version with all of the features retained but with the War of the Lions script.
+Chronicles section in menu revamps features including a more detailed description of characters and events
+Ability to play three difficulty modes Squire (Easy), Knight (Normal) and Tactician (Hard) which can be changed at any time during the game
+A lot of new dialogue added to existing cutscenes and in middle of battle expanding the lore and story of characters and events.

-Does not contain the jobs and other features which are introduced in War of the Lions (PSP, iOS, android)
-War of the Lions cutscenes are not featured within the game's main story itself but can be seen in the chronicles menu.

Despite the two cons, the pros make up for it.

Not played much recently other than occasional Tekken 8 fights but adding Baldur's Gate 3 to the list again but this time, my honour mode run. Done.

Man, Act 3 was easy if you skip most of it.

Hmm, pie.

Finished in 2025:
Mario Kart World (mehh)
Super Mario 3d World + Bowser's fury (++)
Blasphemous 2 (++)

Now playing:
Bayonetta 3
Octopath traveler 2

Finished Octopath Traveler 2.

Still have to pick up Bayo 3 again. But don't like the the parts where you play with the spider and stuff.

Other games I finished.

DK Bananza. Fun as long as I don't try to get most off the banana's. If I do try, I get bored really quickly.

Metroid Prime Remastered. It took me a couple of months to get into the game. Really had to get used to play a Metroidvania in 3d. And it's definitely not suited to just play once in a while, because I forget the places I have to revisit. So planning to replay it one more time.

Kirby Forgotten lands. The most fun game I played this year. Probably the best looking game as well.

That's a very useful site. Here's what I finished this year. Doubt I'm going to complete anything else in the last week.

Yeah I got a DS Lite and played through a few DS games earlier this year. Never played it before, only other DQ game I played was DQ XI. Was very good, the other party members being generic gives it a very old school JRPG feeling.

Just Finished: Jak II (PS+ Premium)

Wow, I really wish someone had warned me about this game beforehand. What a massive step down from the first game. I had no idea this game was so notoriously difficult. I played the first game and thought it was good, fun, and inventive. This game is such a drastic shift in tone, gameplay, and fun factor. The first game drew inspiration from Super Mario 64 with its open exploration hub game world that allowed you to tackle certain stages in your own order and even skip the ones you don't like. Jak II takes inspiration from GTA III instead. Naughty Dog seemed so insecure with this one. They try to make the game gritty and edgy. This is the worst example of early 2000s edginess that I can think of. Jak speaks in this one, he should have stayed a silent character, they gave the personality of a sneaker that stepped in dog shit. He is not a likable character and has nothing interesting to say. This game's open world design is seriously flawed. It even encourage you steal vehicles like they steal cars in GTA. The most important part of having an open world game is that the open world should be fun to traverse and explore. This game fails on both counts. There is nothing interested in this convoluted city and just getting from point A to point B is a massive miserable chore. The game could have used a wayfinder, fast travel, and and waypoints. The vehicles take damage too easily. You can easily set off alarms just by running into the guards. Who the fuck makes a game that is so focused on shooting but don't allow any way to aim? There is no auto aim or way to free aim. You just point at what you want to shoot at and pray it hits the target. This is influence from Ratchet and Clank, but that game is so much smoother combining platforming with third person shooting. Then there are all the bull shit missions. I found a YouTube video that listed the 10 hardest missions in the game and everyone of them is one that I remembered giving me way too much trouble. You are forced to play through every mission whether you like it or not. The checkpoint placement is the worst I have ever experienced, forcing you to replay tedious sections over and over. There is no way to heal yourself other than depending on infrequent health pickups. So many BS deaths. Did they even playtest this game? It took me 30 hours to beat this game, twice as long as the first game. The biggest shame is that there is obviously a good game buried underneath this. It's flaws are so obvious and easily rectified. The unforgivable sin is that they did nothing to address these issues across numerous re-releases. When you finish a game you should feel happy, a little sad, and a sense of accomplishment. All I felt was relieved I never have to play this stupid game again. I always knew Ratchet was the better PlayStation action platformer, and this game just confirmed it. This is by far the worst game Naughty Dog ever made.

Score: 5/10
