Seem zero people talking about this but Xbox (in Australia) has now implemented ID check requirements to even buy content off the store. Will probably be rolled out worldwide across Xbox and PSN by the end of the year. This should be a significantly more serious topic than physical games coz the goal of this ID checking is directly linking you the person to your online persona. The idea being completely removing your online anonymity and linking you to everything you’ve ever said online like … criticising the government.

I hope they take the Sega fans first I hope th…..

Needed something chill for game #50 of the year and took a chance on The Mermaid Mask. This is easily one of the best hidden gems this gen. It’s a point and click investigation style game with a (very good) fully voiced cast. It’s also animation style, really appealing. Highly recommend this one.

I was feeling nostalgic, so I played Raptor on Steam. It was an old bullet he’ll game from the 90s, and the first I’d played that allows you to customize your ship between levels. I was always partial to the auto-track mini gun because I could damage the boss even if it forced me to the edges of the screen.

There some other retro games I’m looking at on Steam, Fear Effect/2 from the PS1 era and Snow Bros. I should see if Steam has Growl on it; that game ate a lot of my quarters when arcades were a thing.

Are there any other great games on Steam that you’d find in arcades back in The Day? Could use some recommendations.

I used to LOVE Raptor! I think it was the first PC game I played that wasn’t part of the Windows Entertainment Pack. I must give it another go…

"Watchmen" is far better than The Dark Knight / Why does no-one own this wonderful game: Fragile Allegiance? / Speak (Type) Italian to me!

The Planet Crafter

Loved it!

Basically a Subnautica kind of game with the goal to fully Terraform a planet.

What I love about it:

The planet really transforms with what you do , creating heat and oxygen will melt Ice and create lakes but also create
the ability to breath without any Oxygen tanks.

It works kind of with an Idle system.  Creating heat will melt Ice but ofcourse it will take time and you can check your progress in the game but you will also see it when you walk around (especially when you build your base on the lower parts of the planet and your base gets flooded).

You must explore and exploration is done well, almost everything is also upgradable, from your inventory; to your sprinting, jet pack jumping heights etc.

Going from this:

Just feels very rewarding and you can spend a long time with it.

Signalis is good... extremely so.

But I am hating on my survival run how I can get hit by an enemy just because of the automatic entering/ exiting room movement.
