#18 - The name of this game's final boss consists of only one letter.

18 - Pokemon BW, though XC3 does fit the description as well

I wasn't expecting to get spoiled over a different game, but, yeah.

I didn't think #17 would be this difficult.

#20 Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

  • In the final part of this game the player controls the main character's child

#19 Nier: Automata

  • Machines are replicating old human concepts and societies in a post-apocalyptic earth

#18 Final Fantasy VII

  • Among the notable themes in this very political JRPG are environmentalism, impact of corporations and industry on nature, life and birth, and economic disparity in society

#17

  • Life ended nearly a thousand years ago, yet here you still are
  • A military machine swarm went rogue and decimated earth's biosphere
  • Earth was eventually repopulated using advanced AI that would be able to continue working even after humans went extinct
  • Different parts of said AI were named after Greek gods

#16 Final Fantasy VI

  • The main villain went insane due to cruel experiments that gave him great power

I mentioned Horizon Zero Dawn a couple days ago. You might have missed it.

Or it was just incorrect.

That's correct. I missed your answer completely, probably had more than one reply at once and didn't realize your post.

20) I AM THE LAW

  • Disco, communism, apocalyptic, trainwreck... which kind of cop are you?

19) To the top of the island

  • You can collect golden feathers

18) I can't believe they changed Mike...

  • My reaction was essentially: MIIIIKE!

17) To the top of the mountain

  • You can collect strawberries

16) Looks can be decieving and this little white cat has got moves like a Smash Bros. figther

  • Though it's not really in Smash Bros and not really a cat. It does fight a big bird at the end though

15) Blue hair anime chain gang

  • Anime cop and his space pet

13) An Earthbound-like with black and white horror elements

  • 5 letters, starts with an O. Yeah you're gonna need a hint that big

12) Color Your Night

  • The Meaning of Armbands

11) It's one of those games where you have to put the year in the title but I just like to call it IV

  • Since it's not really a reboot though it did essentially change the genre from hack'n'slash to action adventure

Yeah easy to overlook things in these kind of threads. I also had it in a multiquote so that didn’t help things either lol.

Is this the Resi 4 remake?

Been away for a few days, need to do some catch-up.

#15

  • MINERVA

#14

  • This game has a very obscure sidequest involving a black shadow in a lake, a talking monkey, strange clues all over the world, and colored rocks that point you towards treasure.

#13

  • This game's adaptation followed the plot quite accurately, while changing some key details, such as the story of Bill and Frank

#12

  • The lords were summoned to fulfill their duty, but only one answered the call

#11

  • Bracers in Liberl - part 1

Change YoY: -6   My Rating: 9.4 / 10

Ranking the Uncharted games has always been a little tricky for me personally. In terms of pure spectacle, I'd say the second game is still the peak of the series. Even if Uncharted 3's ship section perhaps outdid it in terms of sheer scale, Uncharted 2's set piece moments felt more connected to the overall story and as such had an overall greater impact. However, as a complete package where all the different elements of the game are brought together in the most cohesive way, Uncharted 4 is the overall best entry in the series in my opinion. The Lost Legacy sits somewhere in between I suppose.

While it doesn't perhaps feature any single truly standout sections like the train level in Uncharted 2, A Thief's End is still filled with a vast array of impressive moments and sections, and in terms of storytelling and writing it stands quite comfortably above the rest of the series, and the experience Naughty Dog had built up over the course of the previous three titles really shows here. In addition, the gameplay has seen some notable improvements, the stealth and gunplay feeling much more natural and fluid, and the climbing sections are much more versatile and responsive than before. In addition, the semi-open world sections add some very nice variety to the proceedings amidst all the very tightly scripted parts.

Uncharted 4 feels like the perfect sendoff to Nathan Drake, and serves as a fitting final chapter to his story. Even if the series goes on, I feel like his part in it, at least as the main protagonist, is now over. Seeing him finally wrap up his adventuring days and settle down with Elena is a perfect way to end his part in the series. Perhaps the hypothetical next game in the series might star the pair's daughter introduced in the game's epilogue chapter. Still, whether that ever happens or not, I'm perfectly satisfied with the way this story concluded.

19 is incorrect, had forgotten that had golden feathers as well. 11 is correct!
