I thought I read somewhere that it wasn't released physically in Japan, but it did have digital cards you could buy for the game which was the 2k. |
Thanks for clarifying
Little off topic: I know what the saying “selling like hot cakes” means, but I neither know what a hot cake is, let alone how they’re selling so well.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

supposedly its this:
"The phrase “selling like hot cakes” is believed to originate from the 19th century in the United States, referring to the rapid sale of hot cakes (or pancakes) at fairs or markets. Hot cakes are typically popular and quickly consumed, especially when served fresh and hot. The expression emphasizes the idea of something selling very quickly and in large quantities, much like how hot cakes would attract customers eager for a warm, tasty treat.
The earliest recorded use of the phrase dates back to the early 1800s....."
So its related to queues of people lined up for pancakes at fairs.
Where as soon as its made, there's already a customer waiting for one, and another behind waiting for the next you make.
(basically upkeep of production isn't keeping up with how fast you can sell them)
They sell well :)
Also crazy that that saying is almost 200 years old.

And singing about a pocket full of posies is about masking the stench of burning bodies with the plague. But hey over time things get lost in translation and change lol.

Yeah Zero was a crossgen PS3-4 title so it should be pretty straightforward to bring to Switch.
Kiwami 2 as a full blooded 8th gen game might be a little trickier, as Japanese devs tend to be less into doing "impossible ports" to Switch compared to Western devs, (though there are some exceptions, like Ace Combat 7, Dragon Quest 11, Nier Automata) so yeah possibly they save that for the successor, but with Kiwami selling well on Switch, maybe they'll go the extra mile and bring to the current Switch.
Another option is they may bring Yakuza 3/4/5 across.
