And the haptics, Astro's playroom was a delight. And I really need to make time to play Returnal, it's been sitting on my shelf since launch. Maybe it will be even better on Pro?

They haven't announced anything yet AFAIK but it makes sense.

The game has a single mode on PS5, a rock-solid 60 fps but upscaled from 1080-1440p. So it can look a bit muddy at times.

Playing RE8 for the first time on PSVR2, truly exceptional experience.

Before PSVR2 I'll chime in with the load times. What a revelation just to be able to start a game without waiting. It makes GT7 so much better on PS5. In fact Sony kept the ps4 and ps5 online separate since it takes 60 to 90 seconds to load the lobby on PS4, some even take longer, near instant on PS5. Races start almost 2 minutes faster on PS5.

I'm really tempted to buy a used one or grab one if they go on sale to 300 again. I know I'll enjoy it and looking through PSN it doesn't seem to be lacking support games wise but to really get the most out of GT7 I'd have to buy a new wheel to work with PS5 and ...eh. it gets so pricey.

been hearing a lot about how the hardcore base of Sony consumers aren’t impressed with the system. Def sounds like you’re glossing it up here, LegitHyperbole… ;) (you attack Zelda EoW, you attack Link, and b/c pfp is of Link, by transitivity, you have attacked me.)

in any case, haven’t played much PS5. I feel my coolest experience with PS5 thus far might just be playing Astro lol. It’s a great game that deserves to win goty! I was also kinda wowed at how premium the controller felt at launch.

I have always played with a controller, the last time I tried a wheel was 20 years ago. The haptics are great in GT7, you can feel the edge of the road, what you're driving over, when you're on the 'edge' of traction, as well as feedback on the throttle and brake.

No need for a wheel to get the most out of GT7. Although you could go full motion rig ;)

I'd never attack Link, I love the silent little bugger ;). I just don't vibe with the idea of EoW. The Trine series does it better and even then those games can get boring.

Seconded, as soon as the controller slipped into my hands it felt like it was made specifically for me, wild how such a simply design beats out everything else. It's shaped just like a ps3 or ps4 third party controller, you could easily mistake it for. Instantly the best controller I've ever used even before haptics and though the battery is pretty shite. Holding the ps4 controller now feels awkward and uncomfortable and it's only been a week.

And can you play online with GT7. Like if I get a PSVR it'll be primarily for that game but what other titles are there that I should look into that might sway me. Are PSVR titles Backwards compatible and can you mute the mic in online games like on the duel sense?

No BC and only a few PSVR games have upgrades to PSVR2.

GT7 is fully compatible with PSVR2, online racing included.

Depends on your interests what you might get hooked on. Legendary Tales is a souls like rpg

Pavlov is a popular online VR shooter

No Man's Sky can keep you entertained for hundreds of hours.

RE4 Remake and RE8 are brilliant on PSVR2.

Max Mustard is a great Astrobot like platformer.

Moss 1 and 2 are much better on PSVR2 (haptics included)

Metro Awakening is out in about a week.

Dunno how you mute the mic. I've only played GT7 online and used the button on the dual sense. There's probably an option in quick settings.

RE7 Rebirth. It’s been by far the best I’ve played so far on PS5. The first time you see that open world is simple breathtaking. Not to mention it’s amazing ending… looking forward to part 3

Oh, Legendary tales does look good and I've heard nothing but praise for pavlov. I have RE4 on Quest 2... Eh, it's nothing compared to RE7 and I doubt RE8 is either cause the game just isn't scary, RE7 was legit scary flat screen but in VR ... wow. Oh and yeah, I loved moss, would like to play the sequel. I suppose it really comes down to the pricing, if they knock it in half I'm probably in.

I like the look of the cube game you shared in some other thread, it looked like Minecraft, what was that one called? Oh and is there anything mind bending on psvr2, like Transpose the game where you solve puzzles with previous versions of your self and your actions, that one messed with my head in the best possible way.
