“Try not to cringe” Challenge - failed. Ouch.

Are you reading? I never made assumptions.
The issue here... Is you are ASSUMING I made an assumption. - The hypocrisy is strong with you in this thread, which is hilariously comical.
Chazore said: 5. No, I'm not letting you get away with that, sorry. You chose that hill, I am pinning you the hell on it. |
Considering you are throwing a tantrum over statements that were never said... You don't have a figurative leg to stand on.
Chazore said: I just love how you just out yourself like that, especially given how you spoke earlier on a user's ban. So really, any talk of anything stemming from a certain leaning side, no matter whatever it may be, is something for you to use to mock others with. |
Yeah, not sure what kind of joke you are even attempting to make out of this.
But if you are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist or peddle any other kind of bigotry... Then you are a low form of scum. That is all there is to it.
Being conservative or progressive has nothing to do with that, you can be homophobic and generally progressive or conservative and supporting of homosexuality... It's not super common to get a homophobe who is progressive or a conservative that supports LGBTQI people, but it does happen.
Political ideology is not black and white, it's actually a spectrum and the further left or right you go, the more they are the same, you need to start being a little more open minded and start recognizing that some conservative ideas have merit and some progressive ideas have merit, then you can support the better idea for the benefit of all.
The frustrating issue in this political climate (Especially in the toxic, drama-filled, US of A!) is that conservatives and progressives refuse to cooperate and provide bipartisan support on issues even when it has actual, genuine, merit.
Chazore said: I read fan comics on FA, I talk to my gay friends on Discord, I'm literally on a gay Vtuber furry streamer's discord, and we're all fawning over himbos. What in the actual fuck are you not getting?. There's even trans folk in another discord who don't like this forced shit, because they just want it to be done organically (you know, without the chest scars, because they want to be accepted for who they wish to become, not stuck in the fucking middle). The fact you cannot see such a side existing is what makes you look like a bigot. |
You are missing the point completely.
You do not have to be straight/gay/trans to be in support of this game or against.
There are plenty of heterosexuals who simply don't give a shit how the LGBTQI community is represented in this game.
And consequently there are plenty of LGBTQI people who also don't care.
Again, it's this black and white mentality that you have that puts you in the wrong-category.
Whatever groups/organizations/affiliations you are aligned with is simply irrelevant, anecdotal evidence is only evidence for anecdotes... And anecdotes are a logically fallacious argument to start with.
Now I know you are smarter than that, so why play that game if you know I won't fall for it anyway?
Chazore said: I like how when someone doesn't like something you have a stance on, means they're "fragile", and of course, you're a mod, so you can get away with making such a remark. |
People who get upset over something that is small and insignificant are fragile. Being a mod has nothing to do with it, trying to use that argument is baseless and silly, I am a user of this forum first and a mod, second.
People need to get over the fact that their self-entitled attitude doesn't entitle them to get a world-view that conforms strictly to their own already established biases, you either need to accept it or ignore it, moaning and complaining about it won't change anything.
Don't like Dragon Age? Then move on. It's a game with a progressive world view since it's inception... And that shouldn't change.
Chazore said: You remind me of that guy on one of the discord servers that barely anyone likes, because of how they come off as "fuck mate why you all a bunch of pussies?". You're not beating that rude mentality. |
No one actually cares who I remind you of.
Koragg said: Couple hours in the game so far. I'm actually enjoying it. No techincal issues so far on my PC (5600x, 6800xt, 32gb ram) |
I have had one crash to the dashboard on my Series X. - But absolute flawless on my PC, it's a very scalable game.
It's good that it's not Unreal powered... Brilliant that there is no shader compilation stutters associated with that engine... But you can tell it's frostbite and visually a little more limited compared to some other more recent games like Hogwarts: Legacy or Avatar.
G2ThaUNiT said: Probably the biggest eye roll I saw in terms of writing was a character sitting down at a table and getting upset because of how I assume is the matriarch doesn’t understand that they’re non-binary and a yelling proceeds at the table because the matriarch doesn’t get it. |
To be fair, you would probably get that same kind of reaction in real life.
IcaroRibeiro said: The steam reviews confirm my thoughts |
The writing is definitely a little better than average, it's a continuation of Dragon Age: Inquisition... So if you were invested in Inquisition's story (Especially the DLC!), you will likely resonate with Veilguard. - Solas's story Arc is actually super good and this helps conclude that.
If not, then it's hard to sort of get a grasp of the events that are taking place, especially early on in the game... There are minimal plugs from events/characters from Dragon Age: Origins/Awakening and Dragon Age 2.
Gameplay wise, it's a bit of an oddball, the maps are more linear like Origins with defined paths rather than open-world like Inquisition... But the combat is very Inquisition-like, especially with my mage... Thankfully the character encounters are nothing like Dragon Age: 2 which is -still- the low point of the franchise and we should pretend never happened.
The hair is incredible. Varric's chest hair is still even more incredible.
Veilguard is probably better described as a Dragon Age: Inquisition 2, but less open world... It's definitely not the train wreck that some other people tried to convince it as, but it's also not the same epic heights as Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age: Origins.
Honestly, I would just love to see a remaster of Dragon Age: Origins with full path ray tracing... As a story it can stand on it's own.
TLDR. I am enjoying Veilguard and I am glad I gave it a chance over the last couple of days rather than listen to all the negative sentiment surrounding it, the LGBTQI "stuff" has not really been front and center in the game for me.

Apparently its normal to have like 180k-250k.
So yes, there are likely a few DA - The Veilguard, people choosing to refund.

This number is for all of Steam.

I'm not playing any sort of game, so again, that's you assuming and placing that on me, by yourself. No this is not a game, you have genuinely earned my ire, and you throwing insipid insults my way isn't helping. Again, please reflect, I'm going to ask you one more time.
Also no, I did not say you have to be gay/trans/straight to support this game. I merely said I was Bi, I am every bit as valid to have my say, I literally mingle amongst the communities that contain all groups, and I know there are different groups that support X/Y and those that do not (Just like how I'm aware there are trans that do not like the peddling gimmickry of their transition as a marketing tool, and the same goes for some PoC I know as well).
See to you, you see whatever you want as insignificant and thus label those who do not share your same mindset as "fragile", which is honestly a non-caring kind of attitude to have. You can try excusing your insults all you'd like, but that isn't going to stop me from calling you out on it. You're as fallible as the next person, and that doesn't stop you from being wrong. You like to play this "I'm smarter than everyone else" gig, but you simply are not (IN PC and general technology, yes you are, not outside of it though, that much is made evidently clear).
"you either need to accept it or ignore it, moaning and complaining about it won't change anything."
You mean like how you aren't doing that right now?. It's been nearly 3 days, Pem, and you could have let that go and just moved on, but no you didn't, you wanted to make a point you thought was significant for some reason or another. I'm replying, because I'm fed up with your crooked stance, and I'm done taking crap, especially from someone calling others "fragile" (I don't care whatever bs excuse you come up with Pem, you fucked up, like it or not).
You can already see that I mentioned myself tuning out of the video reviews and the like. All I am focused on at this moment is the fact that access journalism being an issue. Also telling me to move on when you haven't is what gets me, I honestly care little if it was "just to reply"< you could have actually just taken the L and moved on, but no, you didn't.
I know no one cares, but that doesn't stop you from reminding me that you act exactly like someone I know?.
Now if you want to move on, by all means do, or don't and continue this in some silly circle for vindication reasons.

Isn't 'Jenny' the alias of Serah from DA:Inquisition or whatever was her name? The elf annoying thief girl. That's her voice alright.

Yeah it seems be a reference to Sera and "Red Jenny" and the War Table operation in Inquisition called "Inquisition Need Beeees!" Sera had juvenile humor and typically were done notes featuring poems. That said, the description that belt is just another fail on their part. Should have been, better, and in poem form. Also should have reference the crude drawings Sera left on her notes.
Who has time for games average mid 8's?? My backlog won't allow it.
