Forums - PC Discussion - Windows 10 support ends on October 14, 2025.

I have been using w11 for almost a year, it is really stable and even good, i like it more than 10. No worries.

From a visual and readability standpoint, I wholeheartedly would prefer to keep W10 for as long as can be possible.

My PC which is used for everything, considering the security issues ... Will probably need to be changed and switched to W11 ... Ugh ...

Can the Recall feature on W11 be disabled ? I don't want to deal with it, nor do I like it's intrusion.

Eh. Windows 11 is mostly OK, but it's definitely not an improvement as an OS. Notably, this is probably the first Windows where I've noticed clear degradation of functionality compared to previous versions of Windows. Switching between virtual desktops is slow, buggy, and prone to cause the taskbar to freeze at times, and Notepad has sluggish smooth scrolling and automatic saving of unsaved documents (I can save just fine if I want something to be saved, thank you, but I hate having earlier random notes I didn't intend to keep pop up when I open Notepad). It's also a bland-looking OS if I've ever seen one. Other than that, it's felt pretty reliable at least.

Who cares, windows is garbage. But seriously, MS could rob your family and you would still buy windows. With the latest bullshit called recall, when do you guys actually draw the line. I no longer use their products, that line was crossed and absolutely despise Microsoft, way too many suckers in this world.

For the 10 euros or so I paid, it's not too bad. I'm 100% ready to ditch Windows if the gaming situation on Linux ever becomes good enough (slowly improving so far), and if Microsoft screws up Windows too badly (Recall, I'm looking at you), I might consider ditching it anyway despite a significant hit to my gaming capabilities.

I don't plan on upgrading though. I really like W10 lol. Plus I still have my concerns about features like Recall.

I don't think Recall is here yet. At least I'm not seeing it in my Windows 11 installation anywhere. I'd be surprised if it couldn't be disabled for good though, because that feature is such nonsense.
