Back to the Future trilogy - I had no choice since this is the 40th anniversary of the first movie

I have the 25th anniversary box on Blu-ray and the 35th anniversary box on 4K UHD, so I'm good for now.

But I was in the BTTF Musical three weeks ago. And it was awesome! Great Scott, it was heavy!

That's awesome! They showed the trilogy in cinemas here, but there wasn't all that much fanfare around it otherwise.

So, after the new movies started piling up on the table for a while, it was time for another Billy bookcase:

The 2D Blu-rays (unwatched and favorite movies “that are due for another viewing”) went into the new cabinet:

The two previous shelves now only contain my 3D movie collection (top) and the 4K movies (bottom):

A few days before Christmas, my new home cinema was ready to open its doors and we watched the first movies on the big 135'' screen, both UHD movies and Blu-ray 3D movies (f.e. "The Hobbit" trilogy in 3D).

Fast forward a few weeks and my 3D-movie collection hast already grown 50% from 150 Blu-ray-3D discs to 224 Blu-ray-3D discs.

Well, I went a little overboard this year with buying movies.

I bought 1211 optical discs:

  • 125 UltraHD discs
  • 447 Blu-ray 3D discs
  • 531 Blu-ray 2D discs
  • 108 DVDs

new totals:

  • 275 UltraHD discs
  • 622 Blu-ray 3D discs
  • 1567 Blu-ray 2D discs
  • 255 HD-DVDs
  • 2192 DVDs

I "only" bought 170 things this past year.

About 100 were TV series, and 70 movies.

I rearranged my movie/TV collection. Added the new discs of the last months and removed the DVD movies which I have in a better format (Blu-ray, 4K).

My 3D movies in the 6 upper rows, my 4K UltraHD discs in the 3 lower rows:

My 2D movies (Blu-rays and a few DVDs) which I haven't watched yet or which I want to rewatch again soon.
In the lowest row are the Disney animation classics (sorted by year) and the unwatched Tom & Jerry DVDs:

On the table are a few unwatched movie + TV boxes, which didn't fit in the "unwatched 2D movies" shelf:

My Blu-ray and HD-DVD shelves in my media archive (watched Blu-ray movies on the left, watched TV series and all HD-DVDs on the right):

My DVD shelves in my media archive (watched DVD movies on the left and in the middle, watched TV series on the right):

Definitely not as impressive as many in here, but I like it

Its a bit hard to get pictures as the space is a bit small when it comes to taking photos.

Very nice!

I'm thinking about getting a Twilight Zone box.

Which TZ series can you recommend?

Thanks

My favorite is actually the 80s Twilight Zone, but the original series is of course awesome as well. Cant go wrong with either of them imo.

Been collecting a bunch of anime the past month and a half.

Trying to prioritize Fairy Tail, because there are a few US sets that are sold out, but I imported the UK releases.

Also bought a bunch of One Piece sets. I have like 30 more to go....

Got the Ben-Hur, Beautiful Mind, All the President's Men 4ks that are coming out next week technically. But Gruv got them to me this week.
