Japan doesn't need its own section on the charts. You should bundle all the Asian countries together or something... Those numbers are very small.

 It's just that the ps3 and the 360 are tanking over there. There's as much DS's in the Japan as in the states - now compare the population of both countries.

 People could wait a day or two longer and get the numbers. So just two sections North America (NA) and Rest of the World (RoW)

This is what I was thinking...but I did not want to offend everyone in saying if you're not from N/A you are the "rest" :)

Why only NA?, better all the continent America.

 Japan needs it's own numbers because a number of developers are there and despite the small numbers many of them making decisions on game support based on said sales alone.

And this year the Wii, PSP, and DS are performing excellently, particularly in software sales.

 

Saying the Japanese gaming market is dead, is fanboy gibberish, spewed in an attempt to marginalize the fact that Nintendo is and will continue to dominate there.

 

I don't understand the purpose, since Nintendo is also dominating everywhere else.
