Forums - Gaming Discussion - Lunar Remastered Collection coming Spring 2025! PS5/4, NSW, XBO, Steam

All the stars apparently came into alignment, because Lunar Remastered Collection is coming courtesy of GungHo Online Entertainment (parent company of GameArts).

From the looks of it, it will feature both games, all-new English voice-acting, and options to switch between updated graphics and 90s graphics.

These games were my favorite games on PS1 that didn't have the words "Final" and "Fantasy" in their titles.

I'm really excited.

Please be based on the Saturn version. PS1 version sucked.

Wasn't the PS1 version based on the Saturn version though ? What are the differences ?

Anywoo, of my schedule isn't too full at that time. I'd definitely consider buying the collection of it has a physical release !

Battles are better on Saturn and better balanced. PS1 version kinda sucks. It was just a rule back then that when Game Arts made a game for SEGA systems first then ported them to Sony systems. Sony ports took a big hit.

Mmm ... From the word I got, they're mostly identical content wise. It's the original on Sega CD that truly differs ... And the subsequent re-releases on GBA, PSP and PC.

A lot of the differences were imposed by Working Designs on the localized versions. They liked to change stuff in the gameplay. One weird thing they did was to have saving cost magic experience points in the Sega CD version of Lunar 2, which they thankfully kept out of the PS1 version.

Hoping for a physical version for PS5.

I've heard vague references to "release packages" which people seem to think suggests a physical release, but I haven't seen anything definitive. I'm hoping for a physical Switch copy myself.

They did partner with LRG for the Grandia collection.

If it's on PS catalogue I can't see why I won't consider it.
