You are way overthinking this. Bill Clinton is still a popular past president and the American public as a whole strongly disapproved of his impeachment. Anyone who isn't going to vote for Harris giving the excuse the fucking Clintons showed up in a Democratic convention (like they did in 2008, 2012, 2020...) aren't going to vote for Harris at all. Period.

As the expression goes, "There's no there there."   Persuadable voters are have the following 2 choice:

1. Support Harris despite having a former president alleged to have sexually assaulted someone show up 1 night at her DNC nomination.

2. Support Trump despite himself being found guilty by a jury of committing sexual assault.

So you're stating that these persuadables are going to be mad at Harris for allowing Clinton to speak for an hour and suddenly support Trump?  Seriously, if they do not like Bill Clinton, how the hell do you think they feel about Mr. "Grab 'em by the pussy"?  And hearing more faux outrage from Fox is a drop in the bucket, faux outrage is all they do.  Potential Harris voters aren't likely listening to Fox anyway.  Besides, Fox complaining about Bill's alleged sexual assault but giving Trump a free pass is the ultimate hypocrisy.

This goes both ways, no one is going to vote for Harris because Bill Clinton spoke.

Times have changed and the Clintons are not popular anymore, at least where it matters with the electoral college. Hillary lost for a reason. There are Obama, Trump, Biden voters. It makes no sense to me but we know they exist. Could some republican leaning suburban lady who hates the Clintons get a bad vibe by seeing them at the convention & decide this is the reason she doesn't like Kamala and just wont vote? Yeah, sadly I know people like that.

I fully admit politics and people who work in it (including myself) hyperfocus on things that don't really matter. Like the VP pick. However, in a close election there is no good reason to give your opponent anything. I don't see the value the Clintons bring the party anymore and neither of you explained how them having speaking roles helps Kamala.

I already told you how it helps.

3 former presidents supporting her.
0 former presidents supporting him.

This overpowers the optics of Bill Clinton's past.   Not just with direct voters but for down ballot support too.  Something Trump has catastrophically failed at.

To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.

I told you this is already known knowledge. They could achieve just as much by simply having them in the building. I am sure someone on CNN will try to make that argument but no voter will care. It really doesn't help in the slightest and it matters even less down ballot.  If you are a Clinton stan you are already voting for Kamala.

Optically it is not helpful to put the party's most controversial leaders front and center. But we clearly just disagree on something that in the end will be insignificant.

Maybe I will concede if Bill Clinton gives another banger of a speech like in 2012.

This Trump presser is hilarious. He sounds like a high school freshman who has to read aloud in English class.

That sums up your Trumpian reply to my post a few days ago.

When I clicked on that link, I got a Kamala Harris ad before the video played, with Kamala herself in it.

I'd say like 80% of the Youtube ads I get these days are Kamala ads. She is spending a lot for people to see her face.

My FB feed is getting a lot of ads for Harris/Walz as well as for Ruben Gallego, who is running for Sinema’s senate seat against Krazy Kari.
