Because it's pointless to get worked up over a joke. It was back then when you first did it, and it's just as pointless now.

Why are you so invested in this anyway?

But, you never ADMITTED to it being a joke until after the election was over.

Do you remember my initial reply to your NFL post?

I said "Seriously?" But I never got a direct reply from you on that question, you just continued to run with your NFL scheme.

I'm only invested in this discussion as much as you are.

Let's take a look: https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=9548178

Seriously? Using your logic, Harris is likely to lose California because the 49ers and Rams have losing records and the Chargers are only .500

Nope. Californians know why the teams have the records they have and it's not because of immigrants. Additionally, this is the first time I am hearing that the Chargers have any fans. You really don't know football.

Does this read like a serious answer or rather like someone is pulling your leg?

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

It reads to me more like an insult than anything else.

Then let's take a look at what happened afterwards: https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=9548183

Using your logic: If a NFL team has a winning record right now, its fans are more likely to vote for Harris, whereas if the team has a losing record, then those fans are more likely to vote for Trump.

You live in Austria, right?

It's an NFL team.

And yes, correct.

You got a grammar lesson from a foreigner. Now that's insulting.

Then you posted this: https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=9548199

And then you got a grammar lesson from one of your fellow countrymen:

Ya rly! When you have an acronym, you choose a or an based on the phonetics. The N in NFL is treated as though it were "en". So it's "an NFL team" but would "a UFL team". Or would be if anyone ever talked about the ufl. Try saying it out loud and it will be easy to tell which way is right and which sounds weird.

So at the end of the day, it wasn't a total waste. You learned something new.

Are you that anal and nit-picky over grammar in a Video Game website forum? Are you gonna be the "grammar police" from now on?

Be honest, do you have a disorder that makes it difficult for you, or even makes you unable, to tell jokes and serious statements apart in written form? At this point I have to ask this, because your behavior is unlike anything I've seen before.

There's also the possibility that you are trolling, but at a post count of almost 1,000 with virtually nothing pointing in that direction, it becomes increasingly unlikely.

If you had just admitted it was a joke before the election rather than after, I would have respect for you. You had the chance and you blew it.

What a strange convo. I never for once did not think it was a joke.
And appreciated between all the 'professional' poll results, take it all with a bucket of salt.

Do we have to end posts with /jk again to make it clear? Just like sarcasm flies over most people's heads in the states?

I feel the need to weigh in, despite not really wanting to do as such, given I am at the crux of the conversation.  I think the heart of the matter is simple.  It was a joke, mockery and ridicule in the direction of betting firms.  Given betting firms were spot on, the original mockery has aged poorly.  It would be better if people would just own it and move on, like Zorg.  Pretending there wasn't a mockery behind the original intent is creating unnecessary conversations, because we all know what the original intent was.  At the end of the day, we all know the betting firm position ended up being a good/accurate call.

At this point, I can't tell if winning or losing makes liberals more smug. It seems they're always disingenuous and will call anyone that disagrees with them stupid(or worse) in a hair margin victory or a humiliating defeat. It's just goofy how semantical this thread has become since the 5th.

I'm not being disingenuous when I call Trump voters idiots. I'm being extremely sincere.

I feel like pre-election I had a little more faith in this country and I felt a little more of a responsibility to play nice and be respectful. I no longer feel that responsibility. So, if anything, I was far more disingenuous pre-election...
