Oh, and as a shock to nobody (of sound mind), the swing state early voting doesn’t look good for Trump at all so far:

It’s almost like feeding your base with dangerous delusions about Covid and getting them killed in the process was a bad idea (he literally called it a hoax and scoffed at wearing masks and social distancing and they naturally followed suit, hence all the superspreader rallies in 2020). As was nominating (and allowing to once again be nominated) a x34 convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who literally tried to stage a coup.

Why are people mad that he done MSG?

Haters gonna hate.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

In 1939 there was famously a Nazi rally in MSG. To be fair, the vast vast majority of events held at MSG were not Nazi rallies. But, just like that rally, a huge focus was anti-immigrant, and anti-anyone who isn't white. So, when you have people on stage saying that Time Square has been taken over by immigrants (I have been there many times recently and it is as it has always been) or that Puerto Rico is an island of garbage (Puerto Ricans are certainly not illegal immigrants, so it's not about immigration), or that all Palestinians are terrorists, it raises some eyebrows.

You combine this with the fact that there is not much of a reason to do a rally in MSG. New York is not in contention this year. So, why do a rally there? One theory is that it's a dog whistle to white supremacists. Combining the location, the tone of the rally, public statements by Trump that are nearly verbatim Hitler quotes (i.e. immigrants are poisoning the blood of the country), recent reports from credible sources about Trump praising Hitler in private... And yeah, you got a pretty good case that this was an intentional appeal to nazis.

But you know, inflation in the US was almost as bad as it was in every other developed nation over the past four years, so why not elect a fascist. Maybe he can make sure the trains run on time.

Well, yeah, if you’re gonna vote for this with record-high inflation (that Trump brought on us in the first place by bungling Covid, hence production shortages)

and this:

and this:

And Trump openly boasting about his plans to be an unchecked fascist if he’s elected as a x34 convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who literally tried to overthrow the government (Jan. 6th).

vs. a sane woman who prosecuted creeps like Trump who plans to fight corporate price-gouging and for tax breaks for the middle class, the true job creators?

In 2016, the opposite happened with Trump gaining a lot of votes from defected Bernie supporters. Add in a historically-unpopular candidate who refused to campaign in rust belt states against her own party’s recommendations and the writing was on the wall. Now the tables have turned and sects of Trump’s own base sees an infected walrus in their own party and wanting to put it down. You think inflation is bad now, Trump imposing a 60% tariff on China goods (that’s a price increase in case you aren’t aware) isn’t gonna help that at all, quite the opposite.

Any evidence that there is a large amount of Republicans voting for Harris? It certainly is possible, but I have not seen any proof of that yet.

It’s all anecdotal, but there’s literally thousands of tweets from registered Republicans and independents who said they’re not only voting for Kamala, but Democratic down the ticket. It’s all in that video.

I’ve seen snippets of YouTube comments from registered Repubs saying the same as well, none for Trump from the other side. I’ve yet to see a single Dem cross-party voter.

I have seen plenty of anecdotal evidence supporting this, and it is encouraging, but I'm hesitant to read too much into that. Especially on MTN, you're going to see a get a very skewed sample. Not saying you're wrong, but I am taking anything anecdotal with a very large grain of salt.

What does this twat know about London other than the trash he reads on Twitter? Lmao. Wonder if he's even ever visited London. London does not give a fuck about your opinion you little chud. Keep your racist dog whistle to yourself, we all know that you mean London doesn't feel English because there's too many non-white people, racist asshole.

What the fuck is even "true American" in his opinion talking about New York? More the Italian community who shaped this city? Or the Chinese? Or the Irish? What exactly is true American for him lol

Or maybe South African if Musk is in the city^^

I have watched a lot of videos about early voting, some of which are saying it's good for Harris, and others saying it is favoring Trump. I am convinced that analyzing the early voting is about as useful as a horoscope.

The problem is that for early voting to provide useful data, we would need to know what the election day numbers will look like. So, the electorate being mostly women is a good sign........ unless men vote a lot more on election day.

Meanwhile republicans are claiming early voting is favoring them because the margin of democrats vs republicans voting is closer than it was in early voting in 2020. But, that is predicting the election day vote will be close to what it was in 2020, and there is no way to guarantee that's the case. It could be, or it could be that more democrats will vote on election day.

I'm not sure anyone can really use the early vote data to make a good prediction. I know that I can't at least.

True American means white.

Somehow seeing Elon Musk push Trump so hard, is more terrifying to me than Trump is himself.

There's literally a landmark in New York inviting immigrants. It's on all of our license plates. I do not think that it is a coincidence that the city with high levels of immigration is one of the most prosperous in the country and arguably the epicenter of "American" culture.

Your whole country's history is one of immigration, but I do wonder if all the white people you have there even know that they all are either descendants of immigrants or rather recent immigrants themselves. There is no such thing as a native white American, after all.

Are you ready for that moron to give his opinion on all American policy? Like some real life Wormtongue. I believe that Musk believes he can shape and influence America through Trump, of course since he's a South African immigrant he can't become President but I believe Musk thinks he can manipulate one, but on the flip side, Trump also clearly thinks that of Musk too, Lol. So I'd not be surprised if we end up in a scenario of them both thinking they're manipulating each other. Musk giving his opinion on cost cutting alone is a horrible thought but I bet he'll try to insert himself as an all around adviser to Trump and him giving his opinion on foreign policy is a chilling thought.

More than 200,000 people had canceled their digital subscriptions by midday Monday, according to two people at the paper with knowledge of internal matters. Not all cancellations take effect immediately. Still, the figure represents about 8% of the paper's paid circulation of 2.5 million subscribers, which includes print as well. The number of cancellations continued to grow Monday afternoon.

"It's a colossal number," former Post Executive Editor Marcus Brauchli told NPR. "The problem is, people don't know why the decision was made. We basically know the decision was made but we don't know what led to it."
