uhm.. ofcourse those games are running on the 360 - they won't run on a PC, because the PC can't understand the gamecode

Wow, that was quick. Shame to steal and cheat hard working people.

If anything, it's even more surprising to realize that you can pirate all the games on the 360 for the cost of a blank DVD, but it's still getting outsold by the PS3.

We don't know that yet, but you may very well be right. Early signs seem to be taken a favour to PS3 preorders and this certainly won't help. 360 also has a bigger installbase as of yet, 6. 35 million approx. It would be a huge smack in the face if MS lost the battle with thier dlc and bigger installbase.

Battlefield 2: Gazz1979

I've just been to see if any of the gamestores have GTA in yet (none of the current gen consoles have been officially released here yet, so all the stores sell imports). They all said it will be in Thursday, but the funny thing is they're all selling pirate 360 versions already, and probably have been for quite a few days (I didn't have time to look last week). I don't even know if many are even bothering to import the 360 version or not, everybody's probably already bought the copy of it.

Whilst they all sell pirate Wii games, they also carry original Wii games, but hardly any sell original 360 games, it's all copies. Must be the demographic, casuals are more likely to buy originals than copies.

Valkyria still not in yet either, but they said it's coming Thursday with GTA. I might just wait for the NA version later in the year though. GTA should keep me busy until MGS.

the only problem with the PS3 not hacked is because an empty bluray disk cost so much, that even the hackers cant afford the costs

1that's a silly excuse. ever heard of a hard drive? i'm sure every ps3 has one, if they wanted to hack it they could still use the hard drive to run hacked games, but they don't, because they can't, because they can't hack the ps3 yet.

BD prices aren't that expensive, you can buy pirate Blu-ray movies here for around $9. Piracy is big business in Asia, and it's done on a large scale in factories. When they finally crack the PS3 they'll start pumping out pirate PS3 games on BD same as they do for the movies. I often hear that PS3 games are too big to download from the internet for most people's connection, but this is irrelevant in the parts of the world where piracy is most rampant. People don't download games, they buy them from shops.

Many people are waiting for the PS3 to be cracked by some bedroom hacker, but my bet is it will be criminal gangs in Asia who will first hack it to play copies. There's a lot of profit for them once that happens, so I'm sure they're putting quite a bit of effort into it. They're not interested in hacking it so it can play from the HDD, they want to sell the games on BD.

its another reason why we will see gtaiv sells more on ps3

Oh please spare us the propaganda. If that were true the ps3 version of nearly every game would outsell the 360 version. Thats clearly not true.

Which post is this a reply to?

Funnily enough, even when the PS3 had a lower install base in most European countries PS3 versions were commonly charting higher than 360 versions. My explanation at the time was piracy. Piracy clearly has an affect on original software sales, to say so isn't propaganda, it's the truth.

The PS3 wont ever get hacked because its the better hardware.

 every system will get hacked

The same people pirating their games back then will be the same people doing now. So if you think about it, its not affecting overall sales at all. Most of them probably won't buy a console and keep playing PC games if they can't get it on the console. So overall sales won't change at all i think. If GTAIV sells 15 million LTD, I bet you it wouldn't sell much more if people couldn't pirate the game. People pirate for a reason, they don't have enough money. Software sales will not change much if piracy was taken away, because those people will just use their money on more important things.

You're a pathetic loser if you download this crap.
