ISRAEL’S DARK PLAN: UN Official DROPS BOMBSHELL on Gaza’s Future | Francesca Albanese

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese joins Double Down NewsWatch to deliver an urgent critique of the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. As conditions continue to deteriorate under severe blockades, aid restrictions, and targeted strikes, Albanese breaks down how diplomatic distractions and systemic international paralysis enable a humanitarian crisis on the ground.

In this unsparing interview, Albanese scrutinises Western media complicity, the deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists, and the systematic erosion of international legal frameworks. She highlights the stark contrast between everyday life in Western capitals and the destruction in Gaza, drawing historical parallels to demand immediate, concrete civil action to break the blockade and protect human lives.

It seems the Israeli elections have led to a deadlock.

At least we're spared another round of Iran bombings for Netanyahu, hopefully Trump will also refrain from bombing Iran for midterms. But while Netanyahu seems to be heading for defeat he will still remain in power while this drags on with possible (multiple) re-elections.

Meanwhile the genocide in Gaza continues and the situation in the West Bank is escalating. Even if the Eisenkot bloc wins it won't mean the of ethnic cleansing, just another step to the world no longer being able to point the finger at just a few bad apples (Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben G'vir) keeping the genocide, ethnic cleansing and land theft going.

So will Eisenkot make a deal with the Arab bloc, or will they just let Netanyahu remain as caretaker and hold another election because they don’t want the Arabs to be kingmakers?

Or will Netanyahu swallow his bile and make a deal with the Arab bloc to cling to power?

Top Arab leader says he's ready to support opposition bloc, urges Eisenkot to “be brave” - CNN

The Arab parties, which are set to take 19 seats in the Knesset, are reaching out to Eisenkot to make a deal that would give him the majority in the Knesset and make him Prime Minister. The leader of the Arab bloc said they would not seek any ministerships. Their only demand is that the government address crime impacting Arab communities and stop the demolition of Bedouin homes.

Israel's president is also urging both of the major blocs to "keep an open mind" to avoid future elections.

Experts are now saying that the likeliest outcome is a unity government, where Eisenkot swallows his pride (he had previously vowed to never work under Netanyahu) and joins his bloc with Netanyahu's, which would leave Netanyahu firmly in charge. He is unlikely to be able to form a stable coalition with the Arab bloc, and a new election would likely yield the same deadlock.

Sigh, and still calling it a democracy. Netanyahu has been in power since the 90s.

So a Zionist unity government, about the worst outcome. But at least the world can see it's not just Netanyahu or Likud. It's the majority.

Ironic getting an "Israel under attack!" ad asking for donations, while posting this. Israel has no shame.

And even if they call for new elections, the next election will likely produce the same gridlock.

And all the while they're holding more elections, Netanyahu remains in power as the caretaker.

He's going to cling to power until the end of his life.
