Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Discussion Thread - The 14th Annual Greatest Games Event

15 - Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
- The colour of a character that joins your party is determined by how much time elapses between two in-game events.
- You also get to name this character yourself, who joins your party during the glitz and glamour of the third chapter.
- This game introduced an audience that could help or hinder you in battle. The size of the audience grows at certain intervals as you level up throughout the game.

14 - Super Mario Galaxy
- The shape of the item / power up that gives you flight in this game is more commonly associated with completing an objective or invincibility.
- Previous power ups that allowed flight for this character included a leaf and a special cap.

13 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- This game’s DLC has an unlockable feature that shows where your character has been for the last 200 hours. Very handy given the size of the map.

12
- Interact with a bunch of butterflies, and they could give you a life and / or a dose or two of damage.

11 (incorrect guesses - Super Mario 64)
- Like the games before and after this, you come across an eel problem. In this game, it’s mandatory to complete this mission, whereas in the others it’s not.

#15: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

#14: Super Mario Galaxy

#13: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

#11: Super Mario 64 (maybe?)

Signature goes here!

One remains;

11: The big nuisance in each level of this game is also a shooting mini-game.
Hint 2: In the regular levels, the holes that spawn the individual nuisances can be 'deleted' by placing something in front of it and removing it again. It's probably a glitch.
Hint 3: They are a nuisance because they are rodents, and that's not what you want to have running around these kinds of halls.
Guessed by drbunnig - Theme Hospital

6 - A very modern spiritual successor to Star Fox with a stunning, edgier story.

Maybe I only think about this one because the Switch version had actual Star Fox stuff but... Starlink Battle for Atlas?

Oh, that's gotta be Theme Hospital. Brought back memories of exterminating rats with the click of a mouse as they scurry around.

13, 14, and 15 are all correct. 11 is very close.

Correct!

I tried to avoid writing 'rats' (or mice) specifically because I thought it would be immediately obvious, but yeah I'm talking about the rats that run around, and you can shoot them by clicking on them. At one point there's a bonus level with an empty hospital and like a thousand rats you can shoot for a high score. Also, the holes in the wall go away if you place a bench or a plant in from of them and then remove it again, which I'm pretty sure is not intended.

Ah, I didn't know this. Although if I saw a hole in the wall, I'd usually just put a vending machine in the way so I could block it but also make some money.

I think the vending machines work as well now that you mention it.

Nope!
