Official voting is now over. The 2002 Game of the Year is Metroid Prime and the runner up is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Historically the PS2 may have obliterated the GameCube in sales, but in this poll the GameCube took the top 2 spots.

curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.

Missed the runoff vote it seems. Though it wouldn't have mattered much because the only game I played from this shortlist in The Wind Waker, and like I said while it is enjoyable and there's good things about it, it is my least favourite 3D Zelda so I don't know if could've honestly voted here.

Gonna abstain on the runoff.

GTA Vice City was my favourite game of the year.
If we’re counting Others: Xenosaga Episode 1, which I didn’t realize came out this year as I played it much later - after Xenosaga Episode 2 came out.
