Which year was better for the Switch?

2022 8 32.00%

2023 17 68.00%

Total:25

2023 is Nintendos swan song. 2024 has some potential but I doubt it’ll beat the TOTK/Mario Wonder/Mario RPG combo

2023 and there’s no debate. This is arguably a significantly stronger year than 2017.

Metroid Prime Remaster, Bayonetta Origins, Advanced Wars, Zelda TotK, better MK8D dlc tracks, Pikmin 4, Mario Wonder, Mario RPG, Mario TTYDR announcement, continued Splatoon 3 support, etc.

2017 had a lot of great games, but 2023 is topping them in every way: TotK >> BotW // SMOdyssey < Pikmin 4 + Mario Wonder // Splatoon 3 == Splatoon 2 // MK8D DLC > MK8D port // Mario RPG >> Xenoblade 2.

2023 has a chance of being Switch's best year ever. It is as packaged as 2017, and one could argue this year's quality is even better. It is quite impressive how a console in its 7th year has such titles. Most consoles at this point only receive shovelware and minor titles. Definitely better than 2022. And beats 2019 which was another great year.

Im impressed with how well 2023 turned out to be for the Switch. This is expected to be the Switch's last full year on the market and its arguably the best year the Switch ever had. Crazy for a console to have this good of a year in its 7th year. Most other consoles would be dead or winding down at this point in their 7th year with nothing but smaller titles and maybe remasters, but Switch is getting Zelda TOTK and Mario Wonder, two huge games in its last year, along with Mario RPG, Pikmin 4, Metroid Prime remaster and more. This transition definitely feels smooth for the Switch to Switch 2, this lineup in its last year wouldn't even indicate that the Switch is winding down anytime soon.

We assume it is its last year.   ;)

And F-Zero 99, which is a thing at this very moment! I purchased ToTK two weeks ago, played it for a week, now I totally forgot about it because of F-Zero.

The power of Nintendo's IPs is strong.
