Eww, that's freaking awful. Luckily I pretty much never played this game in portable mode.

I get screen burn every now and then, I’d say I’ve noticed it a good 40+ times over the years… usually from HUD elements.
First, it’s usually not very noticeable.
Second, it always goes away with time.

It might have occurred with F-Zero 99 on my Switch as I play it in tabletop mode every now and then. If it did, I didn’t notice.

It's not burn in, it'll show up on TV if you dock the Switch after playing undocked. It's a software related glitch. (or something)

Well it hasn't happened to me.

So, one month and a half later, how's this faring to you? I still play it whenever I can between TotK sessions, and getting closer to 30 wins. The competition is brutal in higher levels, though.

I stopped playing to chart on the weekly charts after the third or fourth week, but I still play a race or two to fire me up in the morning.

Nice. I am yet to win Queen and Knight Leagues, with a second place on the latter and a third on the former. Also, I need to get a single win with the Falcon, but I just cannot get my head around learning how to use it lol.

You're doing a lot better than me at this game if you've got three cars with a first place finish (if I'm getting that right). Is that first place with falcon and the League 1st place badges all you have left to unlock?

The only one I ever managed to get a first place finish on in any race is the Golden Fox. On the other hand, the only car I manage to consistently finish GPs with is the Wild Goose. With the Wild Goose, I might have a shot, but I don't think my ability to dodge red bumpers is high enough to get through all those races without a crash. The unfortunate thing for me with the Wild Goose is while I nearly always get top 10 or so in the GP, I have never once finished a race in first with that thing - I'm not even sure if I've made second place (third place, many many times, though).

So my dilemma in short: Golden Fox - I can get first place but can't finish a GP; Wild Goose - can easily finish GPs, but I never place first; Falcon and Stingray, don't even ask! :)

Yeah, I guess that's all that I still don't have. Had a productive weekend with a few wins and later another 2nd place for King League lol. It's getting ridiculous that I'm always in a lobby with a level 99, 99+ wins group. I can beat one or two of those players per league, but beating 4 or 5 is just insane! ;)

Ah, I forgot to comment on the red bomb bumpers: you can use them to your advantage. Since, for me at least, this game runs at a slower pace than the original (might be an impression, but it looks so to me), think of it this way: the bombers will always run a straight line (unless it is a curve, but you get the gist :D). Calculate quickly their trajectory and run very close to them, strafing instead of using the directional to avoid them, an then use any opportunity to spin attack close racers to throw rivals on the bumpers. You will eventually eat one or other bomber, that's unavoidable, but in general once you realize their pattern it is way easier to deal. Blue, player controlled, bumpers have cost me a few wins recently and now bother me more than the red ones.
