Nier looks like a ps3 game. sorry but platinum is small dev that doesn't know how to make impressive looking games or have the resources. Doom is sub HD  and half the framerate that's not stable the difference is similar to early ports of some 360/ps3 games. To me it differently  looks a gen behind. Like just compare red dead 2 to totk they don't like they belong in the same gen at all. Same goes almost every single genre.

Nah, those games are all built to PS4 spec and retain almost all the same graphical features on Switch; PS3/360 ports of early PS4 games had those graphical features stripped out. On Switch the core visuals are there, just with cutback to resolution and settings.

Red Dead 2 to TOTK isn't an apples to apples comparison as you're comparing one the very best looking PS4 games to a game that's not really one of the graphically best Switch games, besides which the art style is completely different.

You can keep core visuals but it doesn't matter sub HD and sub 30fps is always gonna look terrible its like jedi survivor it can have rt, but it runs at low resolution and bad framerate the end result will be terrible and graphical features Being stripped out would make for a better looking game.

I mean just compare Sony exclusives vs Nintendos. Its clear as day they don't belong in same generation. Switch is like a 360 pro.

Nier isn't sub-HD, it's actually higher res than the PS4 version, and those games all work just fine at 30fps.

Labeling Switch as a "360 Pro" is a fundamental misunderstanding of the differences between those platforms. The Switch has a GPU feature set ten years more modern than the 360, and it has more than six times as much RAM as 360.

I'm not sure why you are bringing  up nier its not a impressive looking ps4 game. It doesn't even look better then ninja giaden black lol. Please don't bring that game up again its like one of the least impressive looking ps4 games.

As for why I call it a 360 pro its cause what 95% of the games look like I really don't care about the technical spefications when 95% of games look like 360 games at 1080p

Because it's still a PS4 game. So's Dying Light, Hellblade, Witcher 3, Sniper Elite 4, and countless others that have been effectively ported to Switch. Generational is the difference between PS3 and PS4, so between say, Shadow of Mordor on PS3 vs PS4; the gap between Switch and PS4 is considerably less than that, hence less than generational.

And I don't agree at all, I still play my 360 and the Switch is a clear step above it graphically.

For the most part the most impressive games weren't even ported to switch. Some games were but to me they are just don't look good with all tye cut backs they have. You can retain the core visuals but its still looks and feels like crap not Worth it.

As for switch being a step above 360 of course it is because 1080p is a big difference.

They don't look or feel like crap though, I still had a great time with them.

And 1080p isn't even the main difference honestly, the more modern shaders, lighting and effects make a bigger difference to me, they look noticeably better in almost every way.

You're free to have your opinion but of course it feel good to you when all you have is switch get a ps5 and try going back and you will say wtf was I doing lol.

I'm not sure I'd agree, I feel like they look in the same generation in the way that, say, the Dreamcast was in the same generation as the Xbox and Gamecube despite being significantly less powerful.

Games on Switch obviously don't rival the most technically advanced games on PS4, but they use most of the same graphical techniques, just usually at lower resolutions and in less complex scenes.

Well done ports from PS4 to Switch like Nier Automata, Doom 2016/Eternal, or Dying Light don't look a generation apart, nor in my opinion do the best looking games built for Switch like Metroid Prime Remastered or Luigi's Mansion 3.

Nier looks like a ps3 game. sorry but platinum is small dev that doesn't know how to make impressive looking games or have the resources.  Maybe you outta look at Nier on PS3 and PG games on PS3 then compare them to Nier Automata. Or declare yourself legally blind.

I don't have to look at pg games on ps3 but ps3 has better looking games then nier. It's just not game you wanna bring when talking about impressive ps4 graphics unless you're blind.

Nah, I don't think that will change my mind. Switch is way better graphics than say Gamecube or Wii, but being used to Switch graphics doesn't stop me enjoying games on Gamecube or Wii. I expect the same will be true of PS5; yes it will look better, but it won't stop me enjoying the Switch.
