VGcharts has the PS2 800,00 behind the Gameboy.  Given that the PS2 is averaging 60k-70k a week, it should take only 3-4 months.  So its a given, right?

oh and food for thought, the PS2 is 56.1 million ahead of any non Sony console.  (the PS1 is 40.7 million ahead of any non Sony console) 

More food for thought. The DS has sold twice as much as the PS2 in the same period of time.

Alot of factors went into the PS2's sales success, the least of which not being all the individual gamers who had to buy multiples and the PS2 longer market life will probably boost its numbers as well.

It will definitely go above GB numbers, and stay on top for several years. Both the DS and Wii have a shot at going even higher, but it depends on how long they'll be kept on the market and wether or not the next hardware revision is counted to the same total.

The PS2 has sold very well.

The Wii has a chance of getting similar numbers, although I very much doubt it.  I reckon they will get closer to half the numbers.

The DS though, has a very good chance of reaching the same numbers.

Not really. The problem wasn't that you disliked the PS2: that's fine. The problem is that you called people morons. So by all means, keep on hating the PS2. Hate it as hard as your little heart will allow -- just don't call people morons in the process.
