There should also be an “Indie” section. There’s so much going on in the indie scene, and it feels like there’s really nowhere to talk about it. Silksong, Animal Well, Pipistrello,…so many heavy hitters in under a year-and-a-half.

I've made a new forum. It's indie.  For people to talk about indie games. Releases, opinions etc.
I have no clue how this works - so welcome to beta
You can find it under "Gaming Forum" in https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/forum-index.php
* See the next post. You need to include indie if you want it to appear on the front page.
If problems arise it will be removed until / if the problems are fixed.

It doesn't appear under hot topics apparently.   Or Latest topics. But it does appear under "My Topics" and The VGchartz buddy

Awesome! Thank you so much, Bandorr. Hopefully this’ll make for a good addition

You have to go to forums -> Hot Topics -> Filters -> and check mark indie to have it included on the front page.

NICE!!!! I didn't expect to see that this morning and am pleased!

I think we know where I'll be spending the bulk of my time here in the future.

It’s been a long time since I had to go in and remove the politics section from my feed…can someone tell me how to add the indie section in? On mobile? Also, would it be difficult to just make it automatically appear?

My Above post should cover it.  Above the picture.  Forum (it's on the front page. On the right above hot topic).

hot topics (It will be on the left).  Show filters (a green button).

I’m starting to realize that the current implementation of only allowing for upvotes is not perfect. Looking at the article about Doug Bowser’s retirement, for instance, it is filled with some of the most outlandish comments I’ve seen on this site, all with a green number accompanying them.

I personally don’t want to see downvotes come back…maybe instead of giving a big green “+X” next to every comment, it just be a neutral, grey colored “+X”? Kinda how it looks on Reddit.

My ideal solution: allow upvotes and downvotes and show both under each post. Those with a positive vote ratio move to the top; those with a negative ratio move downward. No post, no matter the number of downvotes, is hidden (unless, of course, it’s worthy of moderation).

I just checked out those comments, “Switch 2 sales are declining and will continue to drop” or “Nintendo is facing a Xbox One style backlash”

Incredibly stupid, bold claims based on absolutely nothing. Proof that people live in bubbles and think their personal preferences are shared by all.

Oh, how can we possibly live with some stupid comments not getting hidden. I hate the forums because nothing gets hidden. It's like we should just ignore the bad stuff or rebut it.

Anyway, I've been a vocal opponent of the downvote system, but it turns out that recently there've been few articles I've felt the need to comment about, because I hadn't even noticed the downvote system is gone.
