RIP to the gotcha moment

Wouldn't be surprised if it was added later though

lol

I wonder what their reasoning is for no Switch release considering all the other Persona games are on it and that this doesnt look much more graphic intense than P5R.

I could be wrong but didn't the same thing happen last time? They saved the switch announcement for a direct? Probably going to happen again, otherwise I don't really understand why it would skip the platform lol

Edit: but seeing that tactics is confirmed for switch.. idk maybe it wont come to switch? it's Atlus afterall who knows

Same, it doesnt make sense and I think there's shot for it to show up in the rumored Nintendo partner direct coming up soon.

Still, doesnt make sense for it to be the only one to not show up in the official press release while Tactica has been confirmed. Also doesnt make sense for it to be omitted from release overall either since its not a technical next gen marvel.

Atlus just being Atlus.

I'm guessing the remake might be a little too graphically intensive for the switch.

Apparently, Reloaded is just vanilla Persona 3 without any of the FES or Portable features, which is lame AF. Especially considering vanilla Persona 3 aged quite a bit compared to the later releases.

It would hurt less if they actually remastered Persona 3 FES. But also understand that the FES and Portable content is for a different game. This is a remake not a remaster, so the main feature is that you're getting a newly built version of the game. That content you believe we're missing out on would supposedly be incompatible with this remade game and would also have to be completely remade or redesigned.

Logically it's also wrong to compare this to vanilla P3 and how much that's aged, since I'd assume they'll be upgrading/improving much of the design and mechanics to justify this as a modern remake.

If you don't think the work they're putting into this new version is enough to justify the price without that content, you can wait for the upgraded release, or you're even welcome to go back and play on PS2.

The thread title though.

(Aside from lack of Switch confirmation for P3R) - its great to see a series that was once barely releasing every 5 years or so on one platform is now getting multiple games - new, spinoffs, remakes, remasters, etc on practically all platforms.

Edit: Now, they just need to do the same thing with the mainline SMT series and its spinoff titles - Soul Hackers (which they did), Devil Survivor, Strange Journey, etc.

Despite being on gamepass, that physical collector's edition will be mine, when they announce it.

Got the Soul Hackers 2, Persona 5, and Royal CEs.

Good thing there is a Switch version.
