in the interview Blundell said he didn't want a big announcement and that is about the game and not the studio right? So I think it's because of that. If there is nothing to show there is no point in talking about it BUT last year Drunkman (Drukmann) made two interviews before the Intergalactic reveal so maaaaaybe we are close.

Last year before knowing the Blundell studio was in LA there was a report that they were working with Bungie (Dark Outlaw as the primary studio and Bungie as de back up studio) to work in a project that was in development at Bungie. 6 projects at the same time at Bungie when Sony bought them no wonder they imploded but there is a lot of possible value there.

I don't think a blog post would be a huge announcement. Sony did something similar with Team Asobi. Perhaps Blundell talked about it because we're weeks away from Sony officially revealing this studio?

There were also reports that Deviation was the studio working on Project Ooze. I do wonder if Dark Outlaw is continuing from wherever Deviation left off before they shuttered. And I got to say, their logo looks incredible lol.

Picked up Returnal on the Steam Spring sale as it looked intriguing enough, but I've never been into roguelikes outside of something like Hades. I must say though, I needed to have picked this up on day 1! Just the opening cinematic moments felt like this epic sci-fi story. The UI is slick, the sound is INCREDIBLE, and graphically the game is gorgeous! After finishing my new rig, I was getting upwards of 120-150fps, and it just felt so buttery smooth.

But that gameplay loop feels so good to play! The weapon variety feels good to mix and match, and the jump/dash ability is very satisfying to use while in combat. Story is more captivating than I was anticipating but that gameplay loop keeps me coming back. Really looking forward to Saros now!

Its one of the few games I debate about getting back into. The roguelike elements are a killer for me though lol.

Great game. I don't like Roguelikes either and IMO this game would be even better if it was a standard action game with levelsprogressionsaving. I still loved this game though.

Hate what the creators said about the story though.

It being a roguelike was honestly the biggest reason why I was detracted from getting it for so long lol. I've only played Hades and more recently Hades 2, which the combat was great fun, but man it was still frustrating dying and then seeing yourself start over! With Returnal, I honestly would ignore that aspect because the combat is so much fun! With the constant fast third-person movement rather than an isometric view, and the bullet hell type enemies meant I was so constantly engaged that I would forget about the game being a roguelike lol. The audio with headphones also helped with the immersion.

It absolutely could've worked as a standard action game for sure! I'm still happy with how it turned out. Sounds like Housemarque will be tuning their approach with Saros to I guess be more inviting? Looking forward to see how they handle it?

What did they say about the story though?

Yea sounds like the next game will have more of a progression system in involved. Which is great to hear but I probably would have been there day 1 either way because Returnal was just to good.

As far as the story they basically said that they gave you enough story to make it up in your head as far as what really happened and that all theories and answers are correct. I was just hoping for a more definitive answer as to what's going on.

So the "omg Returnal is so good" opinions after rejecting the game for 4 years start huh? lol.

No, a blog post wouldn't be something huge but let's picture the post. "We are proud to announce a new PS Studio, Dark Outlaw Games has been formed helmed by industry veteran Jason Blundell" and ... nothing else lol because they are working in something new and can't talk about it yet. At least team Asobi had Astro Bot so Nicolas was able to talk about how Asobi would make more Astro-like stuff (that ended up being Astro Bot lol). Once they introduce Outlaw first game then they are going to be able to talk more about the studio and what they want as a culture.

To be honest if people take the time to watch the whole interview there was no better way to announced it. I don't really give a damn about COD but hearing Blundell's career I'm hyped lol the guy is pure inspiration, it's a luxury to have someone like him leading a new studio, those are the kind of guys that want to work outside big companies these days and it was funny how he was refreshing his voice drinking from a "PS Studios" mug (I NEED ONE).

I personally didn't hear anything about what Deviation was working on or if it was owned by Sony but I do believe that if Blundell accepted the interview now after "disappearing" since his exit from Deviation and the Studio now has a twitter account and a linkedin is because we are going to know more about the studio or the project soon.

Blundell working on a CoD Zombies successor will be a very very good time.

Now on the market in europe/usa: Astro Bot PS5-Bundle's. Probably limited.

And this june, "Death Stranding 2" is coming So happy right now.

Whoever thought the crane mini game FFVII Remake Intergrade was a great idea, hope they are not working anymore.

Not only is it frustratingly annoying but the fact that on the PC version, the crane locks up with no possible way to move it (probably a bug) unless I click on the Dualsense touchpad to bring up the tutorial multiple times to fix the issue.

I thought it was just me but apparently its a known issue lol

Edit: Apparently its an issue on all platforms. I'm just glad I got past the section with the cranes, was driving me crazy.
