Picked up Returnal on the Steam Spring sale as it looked intriguing enough, but I've never been into roguelikes outside of something like Hades. I must say though, I needed to have picked this up on day 1! Just the opening cinematic moments felt like this epic sci-fi story. But that gameplay loop feels so good to play! The weapon variety feels good to mix and match, and the jump/dash ability is very satisfying to use while in combat. Story is more captivating than I was anticipating but that gameplay loop keeps me coming back. Really looking forward to Saros now!

Great game. I don't like Roguelikes either and IMO this game would be even better if it was a standard action game with levelsprogressionsaving. I still loved this game though. 

Hate what the creators said about the story though.
