Could be a co-development effort between SMS and Nixxes. He's claiming development is finished, so if true, Nixxes could've slowly been assisting development on this collection since being purchased while having smaller teams work on PC ports. It doesn't take a large team to port a game.

Or even Nixxes could just be handling the PC port for this collection as well and SMS is handling the remaster itself lol. At least we don't have too long to find out for sure. This is a definitely a collection I hope is true lol. Playing the first 2 games and the 2 PSP games would be awesome to experience in a modern way!

Yeah, I mean anything is possible. I'm also just not sure why they would remaster a PS2 game (or even the PS3 update). this sounds more like Remake realm (in terms of graphics, accessibility options, editing content like the sex games). In that sense, Bluepoint would make more sense to me considering they helped on Ragnarok, and are rumoured to be doing an Atreus spin-off.

But for your sake, I hope there is some truth to this haha!

Finally got through Dreams campaign and tried out some Tren.

Quite a fun experience but the platforming feels so floaty. Its also a reminder that many of the creations in Dreams aren't up to par with Media Molecule, which I didn't find to be the case when playing user generated content on LBP.

Can't be Media Molecule without floaty platforming lol. Honestly, if they just remade LBP (or a new one) and just made the physics more like Sackboy/ Astro, they'd have a winner on their hands.

But if you look around you'll find some stellar UGC. Especially in the tournament, jam sessions: some very creative stuff. Or just find the Mario clones (even of stuff like toad's adventure).

I think we're getting another State of Play and some TGA announcements to close out the year for Sony.

I would bet on Bluepoint and Guerrilla Games officially announcing their next projects.

Another SoP would be fun. I'd like to see some more stuff from Sony but I imagine an early 2025 SoP would contain their stuff. I feel Fairgames or Marathon for TGA. I really do haha

So, there's steam updates to Concord, which seems to suggest something is happening with the game. Probably interim support while the direction of Firewalk is decided. It will be interesting to see what happens next for them. Perhaps F2P is the only viable option for Concord. As long as the team can remain intact: that would be ideal.

Then there is the situation with Until Dawn. We know the devs laid off some staff a couple weeks before the game launched, and it seemed like Sony didn't bother to market it. I think this is another case where what happens next is kind of important. There's the UD movie coming. More hints of a sequel. There're various opportunities to get the first game back into a positive light, but performance and some additional QoL updates are going to be needed.

i like the direction that they've taken with Until Dawn: I recall thinking how great it would be if they could find a way to merge the moment-to-moment gameplay and the decision segments more seamlessly. Perhaps that's the goal with UD2, hence the change to a traditional 3rd view for the remake.

Anyhow, I hope both devs are able to keep going. Too many layoffs these last couple of years.

No one played the free beta. No one played the paid version. No one wants to play it. But Sure try again lol It was just the most unappealing game ages. Nothing to do with paid or free.

From what I read in another place it was supposed to be Norse from the start, so the problem must not have been that.

Rumors from a reliable insider that we're going to see Wolverine soon.

I think we're going to get another State of Play before the year ends. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see another first party reveal this year with how Sony is handling their marketing nowadays.

Wolverine didn't look great. I'm not talking visuals because that was early stuff but open-world Wolverine sounds like a bad idea. The combat didn't look great either. Wolverine to me should be a linear 6-10 hour M-rated game of slicing enemies into pieces. A bloody version of MGR.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Took a little over a year.
