So, there's steam updates to Concord, which seems to suggest something is happening with the game. Probably interim support while the direction of Firewalk is decided. It will be interesting to see what happens next for them. Perhaps F2P is the only viable option for Concord. As long as the team can remain intact: that would be ideal.
Then there is the situation with Until Dawn. We know the devs laid off some staff a couple weeks before the game launched, and it seemed like Sony didn't bother to market it. I think this is another case where what happens next is kind of important. There's the UD movie coming. More hints of a sequel. There're various opportunities to get the first game back into a positive light, but performance and some additional QoL updates are going to be needed.
i like the direction that they've taken with Until Dawn: I recall thinking how great it would be if they could find a way to merge the moment-to-moment gameplay and the decision segments more seamlessly. Perhaps that's the goal with UD2, hence the change to a traditional 3rd view for the remake.
Anyhow, I hope both devs are able to keep going. Too many layoffs these last couple of years.
