It was 80 bucks for the physical on Switch when I got it last year.

The Switch version for some reason has higher than normal prices - Amazon has it on "Sale" for $79 with the marked MSRP being $90 which makes no sense since other retailers like Best Buy in NA sell it for the actual MSRP which is $74.99.

Finally started on Grand Theft Auto V for the first time.

I know...I'm 11 years later but better late than never.

I'm gonna be getting GTA6 day 1 for sure though.

FF4, 5 and 6 are some of my of all time favorite video games.

FF5 is the underdog here but man... I loved it. It has the weakest story and soundtracks of the three but I enjoyed the characters and sense of adventure/freedom.

FF6 is the general favorite, and my personal top RPG of all time (hence my avatar). A masterpiece.

I never played the original FF4, but FF4 The Complete Collection on PSP was a hell of a game with the smoothest Final Fantasy combat. Also had an unforgettable dark atmosphere.

We don't necessarily see eye to eye, but I hope this is one of the times that we do, because you'd be in for a ride.

Funny enough I think I usually agree a lot with your posts, lol.

I'll give FF1 to 3 another try too, as I've only played them through emulation way back then, I remember liking 3 the most, but I actually don't remember a lot about any of the specifics from any of them nowdays, lol.

I know FF6 is usually taken as the one of the very best FFs together with 7 and 9, but so is Chrono Trigger considered the best RPG or even overall game ever and I find it to be... just fine, lol.

I do find myself agreeing with you more times than not, but no two individuals completely agree on anything, right? I just know you won't like them as much as I did (Final Fantasy is my favorite game series and I slightly prefer SNES ones on average than 3D ones).

Chrono Trigger is somewhat overrated imo, but it's a LOT more than "just fine", and certainly better than FF9, Persona 5 and even Persona 3. Did you notice that we have moderately different opinions on JRPG's :P

The general consensus top 5 Final Fantasy games are 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10 with 6 and 7 taking the lead (I agree on the top two. 4 is my 3rd favorite!).

It's fine, lots of specific tastes will never really align, afterall.

I love FF9, 6 will have to work very hard to top it for me, but who knows.

I'm happy every single one of them have platinum trophies, tho.

Is the combat too slow?  I beat LOD last year (hadn't played it before that) and while I had fun with it, I didn't love it by any means.  The combat was good, the story didn't hook me at all like the early FF games and Chrono.

GTAV's a huge improvement over GTAIV.

I'm enjoying it so far - 2 hours in.

Cant wait to play GTA6, will get it day 1 instead of waiting 10+ years like for GTAV....

Are you asking about FF9 combat?

GTA5 is a really fun game, way more fun than GTA4.

But even being 5 years newer, there are actually stuff better on GTA4 than 5.

It's crazy how ridiculously impressive GTA4 was for a 2008 game.

I'll have to revisit it but playing GTA3 for the first time back in 2017 , I enjoyed GTA3 even more than GTA4.
