What about that other game Bluepoint was doing huh? The one that would be a completely different magnitude from their last remakes.

A couple of leads previously at Deviation Games are at "PlayStation Studios", as well as someone from Treyarch. |
Fingers crossed for a FPS game. Its been ages since we've had a first party fps from PS Studios (or SIE).

I was under the impression they were greenlit for a new IP. Like, they paid their dues with previous remakes to earn it.

They referred to it as original content, implying it's not a new IP.
Latest suggestion is a GoW Spin-off title. Only time will tell I guess
If Jason Blundell is at an "unannounced" PlayStation Studio, I think we'd hear about it early next year.
I can't imagine Sony acquiring Deviation at this point, and if Blundell and former Deviation developers got hired at XDev or VASG, I don't see why they would omit that.

The TR trilogy outsold UC 2-3-4, though, unless you count the collections. Exclusive vs. multiplat, yes, but there were plenty of UC bundles on the other hand to balance things a bit. Of course, sales hardly matter as a point in a world where GTA, Fortnite, and Minecraft are the absolute kings. |
Sales always matter, not to define which is better but certainly to determine more popular or favorite of the market.

They are even showing that for similar phase of the project they are using 50% more labor than SM1.

As long as it's not a military shooter like COD. Go for the same sort of gameplay feel but something different... maybe a Timesplitters inspired game.
There's a rumor about the first 3 God of war games getting touched up - dont know if its a remake or a remaster.
Excited for it either ways assuming its true.
I'm not sure the World is ready for February... Granblue Fantasy Relink, Persona 3 Reload then Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Best month ever for videogames IMO.
