Trump Signals Greater Use of Military in U.S. Cities, Warning of "War from Within" - Time

He gave a rambling speech at Kegsbreath's gathering of every flag officer in the Armed Forces where he basically declared war on the American people. He also got angry with the generals for not applauding him, even though this is long-standing military tradition, and threatened the careers of anybody who wasn't loyal to him.

Giving this putz the Nobel Peace Prize would make that prize absolute trash.

MAGA world is having a complete meltdown over Bad Bunny being chosen for the Super Bowl halftime show instead of country music singers or a 1980s rock band.

Maybe we need a 13-page thread discussion on that topic.

MAGA world didn't realize yet that NFL wants to make money world wide and not only in USA so that there will be more and more musicians which will be interesting for a world wide audience and not only for some in USA.

^ While tough on the players, the international games always bring a smile to my face. Watching other countries get excited about an American pastime is a much needed pickmeup in these dark times.

Yeah. You'd think MAGA would be all over a new attempt to spread soft power throughout the world. Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, or Morgan Wallen ain't gonna do it outside of the southeastern U.S.

Probably have not heard something so unhinged than that speech Trump did in front of our military generals while he declared war on US soil. If you thought it couldn't get any worse I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.

US judge rules Trump’s effort to deport students for pro-Palestinian speech unconstitutional

The Trump administration violated the Constitution when it targeted non-US citizens for deportation solely for supporting Palestinians and criticising Israel, a federal judged has found.

In a ruling that sharply criticised the US president’s policies as serious threats to free speech, US District Judge William Young in Boston backed university associations that had accused Trump of violating the First Amendment, which protects fundamental freedoms.

“This case – perhaps the most important ever to fall within the jurisdiction of this district court – squarely presents the issue whether non-citizens lawfully present here in United States actually have the same free speech rights as the rest of us,” Young, a nominee of Republican President Ronald Reagan, wrote.

“The Court answers this Constitutional question unequivocally: Yes, they do.”

You have to wonder about how the military generals took to Pete speech. You work your ass off to get to the position you are at and than you have to travel to an event to hear someone preach to you about being fat and how to do your job when his claim to fame is being a TV personality on Fox news. Man that must burn like hell.

Not to mention that their commander-in-chief is a morbidly obese draft-dodger with no real respect for the integrity or traditions of the military. Trump is really banking heavily on the loyalty of enlisted personnel and officers up to O-6 (colonels and Navy captains).

They're also going to end restrictions on hazing and are going to make it more difficult for women to report sexual assault, so they really want a bunch of brutal thugs in the enlisted ranks, and to discourage women from joining the military. The military is heading towards the near-collapse it experienced in the 1960s.
