You're probably being far too conservative in that estimate. Alabama was only a few hundred votes away from electing a sex pest to the Senate in 2017. The governor of Alabama said she believed the allegations against him, but still voted for him anyway because it was far more important to have a Republican in that Senate seat, regardless of what he had done. 

Of course, now we have a bunch of prominent Democrats stumping for Andrew Cuomo despite what he got ousted from the Governor's Mansion for.

Goodbye USA as anything else as a below Third World country if it comes to politics. How that country isn't able or even trying to stop all this shit Trump and his entourage do is crazy. I guess it's already too late to expect anything else as USA going down to a one political party country... People say the midterms will be brutal for the Republicans but right now you have to wonder which elections people talk about because as fast as everything transforms in USA, there only will be fake elections anytime soon.

Indeed, the USA has turned into a shithole country. Not even the most pathetic and poorest executed cover-up attempt in history is going to wake this country up. From there it's just a tiny step more to do away with free and fair elections.

But even if with free and fair elections, you'd have to wonder if the Republicans would lose their power. The USA is the country of the stupid, after all. Trump's approval ratings are still absurdly high when you consider how awful he has handled just about everything.
