Imagine spending your whole life cos-playing and fantasizing about fighting the federal government sending troops in against its own citizens only to root for the government when the moment finally arrives

Yeah 😂

It was always a bullshit excuse by Republicans that they needed all their guns to protect America for when the government turns tyrannical. It's literally happening right now and they're cheering on their government to beat the shit out of American citizens just for exercising their right to protest. Many are even salivating at the thought of it turning violent. None of these gravy seals would ever dare stand up against the government, it was always a nonsense excuse to horde weapons and feel like a big man.

Calling the Governor "Newscum"

Asking why Mayor and Gov. don't say "THANK YOU, YOU ARE SO WODNERFUL WE WOULD BE NOTHING WITHOUT YOU"

This guy is mentally behind a low IQ 14 years old teenager who just tries to be cool in front of the class.

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus twice during the Civil War, under the debated meaning of the Suspension Clause.

Also, the courts have been mixed as to what protections non-US persons have:

On the one hand, Yamataya v. Fisher (1903) extended protections to non-citizens including criminal aliens.

On the other, the US border service was able to proceed under the Patriot Act to seize phones, computers and other papers of foreign persons upon entry into the US.  This power is not allowed for US persons under the Fourth Amendment.

Given all that, I'd be careful claiming that somehow Donald Trump is acting out of turn given what his predecessors (going back 31 presidents...) have done.  Just ask those Americans that Obama drone-deleted!

Similar to the powers given to the President to kick out immigrants of countries we're at war with the situation on the ground does matter. Using the Alien Enemies Act on World War II is notably different from doing it to Venezuela (unless you legit think we're at war with them). Suspending habeas corpus in a civil war is different from doing it because you are tired of dealing with courts.

What the US border service is able to do has to do with where you are not who you are. They can and do seize things from US Citizens upon entry. They are given wide deference since they are dealing with entry into the country and not people currently in the country.

Lastly, the "show trial" comment below is nuts. He was convicted by a jury. He did those things that are crimes and frankly he's done quite a few more crimes that will never see the light of day because they were federal crimes and now he's president.

I think Trump actually meant they tell him "THANK YOU FOR YOUR MESS, WE WOULD BE MUCH BETTER OFF WITHOUT YOU!

I'm pretty sure in the 1080p video on NY Post website I can see the cop grinning too.

But anyway, another very clear intentional shooting at press by the cops of Russia, Belarus, America.

I wonder where the cops learned that...

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/israel-says-its-military-likely-shot-and-killed-american-activist-indirectly-and-unintentionally

Eygi’s family in the U.S. released a statement saying “we are deeply offended by the suggestion that her killing by a trained sniper was in any way unintentional. The disregard shown for human life in the inquiry is appalling.”

And 'police' impunity is the same. Even if a lawsuit succeeds in the US, it will be paid from an insurance fund (by American tax payers) and the cop in question will be promoted...

I know that Russia and USA share the same colors in their flag and that you can find the letters U, S and A in Russia but damn, Trump really loves the way Putin "rules" Russia to transform USA so fast into a second one. No surprise he hates so much to do anything against Putin. He really is his role model.

They plan to hold a military parade on the president's birthday😰
