  • April 27th - Two Weeks
  • May 19th - Two Weeks
  • May 28th - Two Weeks

It has been 4 1/2 weeks since Trump gave Putin two weeks after Putin rejected all total ceasefire proposals and broke within a day the watered down one, it will be 6 1/2 weeks by the end of this new two week deadline since Trump gave Putin his original two week deadline, Lmao. From 24 hours to 4 months and counting, and two weeks, two weeks, two weeks. At least it's not 90 days like his tariff extensions. How anyone can see this and not think he is either owned by Russia or terrified of Russia. Cya in 2 weeks, when Putin rejects Trump's "peace proposals" once again and Trump says once again "I'm very mad!" on Truth Social and then once again delays his "big scary sanctions" by two weeks.

Too Weak Trump.

He can still do tariffs via Section 232, Section 301 or Section 122.

  • Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act, the president can impose trade restrictions on national security grounds.
  • Section 301 of the Trade Act, as amended, requires that the U.S. Trade Representative (“USTR”) take action, which may include imposing tariffs, where “the rights of the United States under any trade agreement are being denied” or “an act, policy, or practice of a foreign country” is “unjustifiable and burdens or restricts United States commerce.”
  • Section 122 of the Trade Act, which permits the President to impose tariffs of up to 15% to address a balance of payments deficit or to prevent an imminent and significant depreciation of the US dollar. However, any tariffs enacted under this section can only last up to 150 days without further Congressional approval

The Ruling Mentions Section 232.

For example, in 1962, Congress delegated to the President the power to take action to adjust imports when the Secretary of Commerce finds that an “article is being imported into the United States in such quantities or under such circumstances as to threaten to impair the national security.”

It Also Mentions Section 301.

This power is conditioned on extensive procedural requirements including an investigation that culminates in an affirmative finding that another country imposed unfair trade barriers under § 2411(a)(1)(A) or (B) or § 2411(b), and a public notice and comment period.

===

Sounds like Section 232 is a non-starter for 80% of the tariffs, Lmao. Good luck arguing half of this shit is for "national security" reasons, we need tariffs on clothes because they threaten America! Section 301 sounds like it requires actual work and facts, two things we know Trump hates, they won't be able to use ChatGPT on this one.

Section 122 can only last temporary, has a cap of 15% and Congress has to re-up it which he won't have the votes for.

Sounds like if this ruling holds then he is basically fucked, his entire tariff trade war will go down as a complete and utter failure, meanwhile China can still keep their reciprocal tariffs on America if they really wanted to, Lmao. Also now that other countries know the courts are striking down his bullshit reciprocal tariffs, it will probably encourage some of them to play even more hard ball in negotiations now.

Correct when I said all I meant the tariffs under the so called emergency economic powers which includes all of his most recent efforts.   And for our purpose it would address the console tariffs in whole.  Unless of course Trump comes back and tries to tax the whole gaming sector in name in which case I don't think it would work out for him at all.  And you are correct, Section 232 and 122 aren't gonna happen neither is 301.

Trump admins biggest "accomplishments" so far have been terrorising American citizens...

We're actually quite lucky how incompetent these dudes are.

Maybe they'll go back to threatening Greenland.

I prefer "Can't Understand how Nations Trade."

And The Tariffs Are Back On!

A federal appeals court on Thursday granted the Trump administration’s request to temporarily pause a lower-court ruling that struck down most of President Donald Trump’s tariffs. The judgment issued Wednesday night by the U.S. Court of International Trade is “temporarily stayed until further notice while this court considers the motions papers,” the appeals court said in its order.

Trump is rapidly burning through the full faith and credit of the United States, which was the basis of its economic strength, all to appease the whims of people who mentally never left the 1950s and don't understand that the world itself is a very different place.

Fun fact: the world of Judge Dredd in the 2000AD comics happened because a rogue President of the United States won election on the grievances of voters who believed that the world was living off of their backs, not to mention the consolidation of political power and force projection into fewer and fewer hands.

Even Musk is not happy with TACO... 100's of billions of new debt just undermined all the hard work he made.

Trump isn't fiscally responsible like he claimed.

I am wondering how his support base is coping with his shenanigans? Regret their vote yet?

They'll tell you in 2 weeks from now.

Omg he is so angry about being called TACO, Lmfao. Making up a bunch of shit to try to justify him chickening out because he is mad about his nickname, then make up more shit to justify being "tough" on China again because he's mad about his nickname. If he does this whole rant about China "violating" an agreement then does nothing in response except rant on Truth Social he will look even more chicken so I'm going to assume the 130%+ tariffs are returning, Lol. Or it's another "Putin is making me mad" style post.

The sheer amount of shit that he makes up is unreal, based on his post, China was on the verge of complete collapse due to Trump, factories closing all over, civil unrest (LMFAO) but Trump through the sheer goodness of his own heart, came down like an angel to save China, he did it not for America, but for China, he just cares that much for China! He's a true Chinese hero.
