Maybe you could move to canada. I heard they have great healthcare there. I don't know how hard it is to get that as an immigrant though.

We also have great healthcare in germany and it is pretty easy to get even for immigrants. It is in fact mandatory to have health insurance. But I wouldn't recommend it, because germany sucks and is also slowly getting taken over by Nazis.

Anyway, best of luck to you.

Canada has a limit on immigrants. If your medical costs are more than I think 27k a year they will not help you.

If you don't live in any of these states (excepting Wyoming) they are probably going to be the least impacted by the cuts (roughly 10% of Medicaid's budget is the GOP directive in the current bill over ten years.)

I would say here in Pennsylvania Medicaid is pretty expansive in what it covers, so any 10% federal cut would probably target things like dental, eye-care, nutritionist, and not medically-necessary drugs. I doubt any of these states will purge people off Medicaid, they probably would look into premium buy-ins and/or special service cuts. Or they'll just raise state taxes.

Not that moving is probably easy if you are on Medicaid, but in case you live in a border state of one of these or already live in one of these.

If they kill medicaid, they kill me. Knowing my heart. It would be days and weeks of suffering before meeting a violent end. If I lose Medicaid, I will commit suicide so my death is quick and not long and suffering. Nazi's want us dead. People who voted for these fuckers are accessories to murder. Hope it was worth it. I don't want to die but it seems I will be dead before 2025 is over.

Sorry to hear, I don't know you personally but I would be sad to see anything like that happen to you. This is the sort of shit as to why I would never move to America, I have a lifelong physical disability and it's not that I fear it becoming a surgical problem again, but logically I know if it did I would be undergoing multiple more major surgeries and in America I would be totally fucked by medical bills. I can't imagine what you're going through though as I don't suffer anywhere near as bad as it sounds like you would.

What I've adopted over all these surgeries and every yearly appointment to make sure things are okay is to not worry about something which hasn't happened yet, as I see it as unnecessary stress, for something which may not happen, I know not everyone can do that though, it's a tough ask and I'm just naturally more chill and glass half full while my parents did the worrying. But I see it like I can plan for a negative situation but worrying about it is causing unnecessary stress and damage to my body and mental state because if the thing ultimately doesn't happen, then the stress and worry was for nothing, I don't know if I'm explaining myself/my mindset well here.

All that being said, I hope the cuts don't happen and if they do, they don't impact you to the degree that you feel like that is your only choices. I hope you have a good network of family and friends that you can lean on for support as well, whether that's just someone to speak to and get everything out. You also have a VGChartz family and I'm sure nobody here wants to see anything bad happen to you as well.

Fucking Republicans.

What I am seeing right now, Trump and JD Vance bringing Zelenskyy to America only to humiliate him and try to gang up on him. America is fucking shameful, a disgrace, so much for Keir Starmer's ass kissing. Fucking Scum, the both of them. That couch fucker dickhead is clearly upset that Starmer put him down yesterday and wants to take it out on Zelenskyy and feel like a big man after Keir humbled the dumbass.

fwiw if social media is any guide,
pretty much every single thing Zelensky says publicly ends with a thank you. Here he is thanking Senators of both parties shortly before he got to the White House today:

This was two fucking disgraces shouting over and trying to bully someone whose native language isn't even English. This was the plan all along, antagonise him so they can have an excuse to do this. So fucking obvious this was a trap laid for Zelenskyy.

Talks have fallen apart (not that there was any doubt after what happened in the Oval Office)

Press Conference has been cancelled and Zelenskyy removed from the White House.

Hang your heads in shame, every voter of Trump, you are a fucking embarrassment.

Won't be long before Trump is supplying the Russians at this rate.

Vance: I think it's disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media...You should be thanking the president...

Zelenskyy: Have you ever been to Ukraine?...

Vance: I know what happens is you bring people, you bring them on a propaganda tour...

Ukraine's Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova's response to the clash between Trump, Vance and Zelensky. When asked to Trump if they could still negotiate after what just happend he said "let's see."

"Im not aligned with Putin, I am aligned with the US and the world. You see the hatred he has for Putin. The other side isn't in love with him as well," Trump said.

The only thing Trump is aligned with, is his own pocket.

❗️ "Without the U.S. and our weapons, this war would be over in two weeks," – Trump.

Zelensky: "I heard 'three days' from Putin. Now it's 'two weeks'."

"You have no cards in hand, you should be grateful to us. You can't tell us 'I want this, I want that,'" – Trump to Zelensky. He added: "You should be grateful. It will be very hard to 'do business' this way."

Trump would also allegedly have said: "Either you make a deal or you walk away from it."

CUNTS

Blaming Ukrainians for hating Putin is like blaming the Jewish people for hating Hitler.

There is no two sides to this story. Putin is clearly the villain.

A couple contrarian views about Canada:

1) The healthcare isn't great.  Sure, Canadians will brag about it to Americans because they have an irrational fear of the US system which isn't perfect, but is better*, but Ontario just had its election last night and featured a debate where the leaders were bemoaning "hallway medicine" again since they don't have enough money to tax out of people (who also can't afford to rent/own homes) to pay for beds:

What bothers me about these comparisons is that they're always binary. (Often while massively ignoring shortcomings on one particular side).

The meaningful question isn't "would you rather have Canadas healthcare system or the US's?"

The meaningful question should be "how do we make the best system we can" - which in my opinion - how do we give people care who need care; how do we do it without breaking the bank.

The US spends roughly 50% more per person than Canada, that's $5000 per year per person on healthcare, while having millions of people who aren't covered. Do you think that's money that can't fundamentally exist in Canada's system?

The US system is better in some regards, if it wasn't it would be an insane disaster. It should be better somehow, we are spending substantially more.

And it has some deficits. So how do we get the best of both worlds. That should be the question.
