fwiw if social media is any guide,
pretty much every single thing Zelensky says publicly ends with a thank you. Here he is thanking Senators of both parties shortly before he got to the White House today:

This was two fucking disgraces shouting over and trying to bully someone whose native language isn't even English. This was the plan all along, antagonise him so they can have an excuse to do this. So fucking obvious this was a trap laid for Zelenskyy.

Talks have fallen apart (not that there was any doubt after what happened in the Oval Office)
