Probably the same place where the people who said the Wii would sell less than 30 million LTD by the end of 2008. I'm pretty sure the 30m crowd outnumbers the 60m crowd by a substantial amount.

@Rock_on - Yeah!! Right here!! Actually, I'm predicting 55m-65m. Still standing by that. It'll depend on 3 factors yet to play: Wii Fit, increase in production from the start of the new fiscal (and again prior to holidays) and launch in Korea/China/India.

 Yeah I'm about as sure as you can be.  There was a thread about this a while back and I remember counting a ratio of about 3:1.  Granted that was January iirc and people were doing the whole "Wii is doomed!" dance because of supply being low.

The Wii will sell over 7 million during the 10 week holiday blitz. So that would put it at 31... I expect the Wii to sell about 1.5 million a month until then, so around 9-10 million more before the holidays. So sqrl's 41 or 42 is looking good. However, supply increases could bump the number closer to where I have it. 44-46 million.

I agree with your prediction as you can see in my sig (but it won't happen if Nintendo stays conservative in its production).

 There are three factors for Wii reaching 60 million in 2008, but they are production, production and production. There is definitly enough demand, but Nintendo just needs to make enough consoles. I can't even imagine Wii sales once they cut the price to $200. We will probably find out if they have increased the production in two days when Nintendo releases their Financial Report.

I don't think Nintendo will increase production fast enough. My prediction is 45-50 million by the end of 2008.

OT: ROFL That April Fools Day article sounds like it was written by someone today, not two years ago.
