Not like I'd support the action he took inherently but let's be honest, I take these kind of moments during the VGA whenever than the monotome pace at which this show was rolling.

He technically single-handedly made this show memorable for years to come just like the "f*CK the Oscars" director.

That's twice TGA has been made memorable so far. Maybe Geoff should take the hint already, because monotone speeches and watching some dev/CEO stepping up to claim a chunk of metal isn't as memorable as those two moments we've seen over the past few years.

Like we've seen Reggie and Kojima show up multiple times now, them being there isn't "whooa" worthy anymore, but that kid showing up got everyone tweeting insanely fast about it.

I think, the organizers, Geoff and planners could prolly have the ability to make the show at least more "peppy" in spirit.

But he's so obsessed with the idea that the VG industry should represent the same standards as the one we get from the cinema industry that I can only feel pity for a show playing a mimicking puppet act at this point.

The games announcements and these "little nuggets" of pure confusion and surprising acts are the only thing I could honestly differentiate between these shows as far as it goes.

Aywooo, not like anything could ever be the equal of the Shick Hydro Bot

Hopefully we don't see him back as often as the fuck the Oscars guy...

I get that sentiment of his, but it is an ideal he can never live up to with his show, simply because gaming in general is seen as a hobby, or "for kids" as Sony and others put it, and as such will never truly be taken seriously as he would like it to be.

He should honestly just live with what we have, comedy and randomness, I mean he's already been tossing in esports awards up the wazoo, and as much as ppl love their esports players, they cannot be compared to actual real world athletes, or be placed in the same sort of serious category.

he really should ante up the randomness, because it honestly does get ppl tweeting about said randomness, and that in turn equals more engagement metrics and more word of mouth, which in general means more going for TGA over the long-term.

Ppl will talk about that special GOTY metal trophy for like a few weeks at best, yet nearly everyone here and on the net likely knows more about the "fuck the Oscars" guy than what colour/shape last yrs GOTY trophy was (which is funny because the Oscars place more emphasis on making their trophies look important/meaningful).

I just found it funny at the end, you could see Geoff's face before he turned to face the audience, that dude was riled, like "how dare that punk ruin my finish for the show" lol.

Next we know, at the next year VGA awards, he's gonna stand behind Aonuma and his crew(this time disguised) when Tears of the Kingdom receive the GOTY award and repeat the same act.

I just watched it. How could that even happen? He just casually strolls down the aisle, gets behind the elden ring crew and patiently and politely waits his time to strike.

Huge balls on the kid. I kinda respect him and the way he handled it tbh. Could have been a dick, pushed in, tried to take the award...

Nope. Struts down, waits patiently, tells lame joke and gets escorted off.

This kid is now a legend!, So funny how he just stood there and waited without anyone paying attention. He even got claps after his speech
