Corresponds with the Lazard report I linked to earlier within a thread. The indications that the PS3 version is significantly outselling the 360 version for the UK despite a large 360 install base is very promising as well. For the rest of Europe the ratio will surely be much better than for the UK (the 360's strongest market within Europe).

I tried to preorder GTA4 for the 360 from Game about 2 weeks ago and they said in store they had stopped taking preorders (they want stock free to sell on the day of release).

GTA4 will sell more initially in the UK on the 360 than the PS3. There are nearly twice as many 360 owners, its a fairly obvious prediction?!

Out of my friends who have a 360 i know that almost all of them will be buying it, ditto with my friends who own PS3's.

Its pretty much a must own game for the majority of hardcore gamers whatever the console

Well, from US pre-orders that is 4m copies, and you would expect over 3m from EU at the very least (1.75m PS3 vs 1.5m 360 roughly my guesstimate).
The 3:2 ratio is very good when you consider the difference in user base size. Who ever said that no PS3 owners buy games, that is like a 33% attach rate!
