This!!! And like the non Persona user stated, I wrote this off as 50 shades of grey. Gameplay is so tight, story gets better in the next versions, nothing crazy like the lore in Halo. Excited to read the books. 

Enemy AI is relatively smart compared to the shit I play. Gameplay is king for sure.

Beat Judgment... what a meh game. The aftermath was kinda... and i mean kinda fun. Lasted about an hour. Just shows what happened during one part of gears 3 when the team was searching for access to Azura. 

Overall: 3 > 1 > 2 > Judgment. 

Despite beating 4 and 5, I don't want to put them in the categories yet, as I played them with not much respect going into it. 

I think I'll start 4 and 5 once 6 is announced. I'm going to be sad if 6 really is the last Gears  

Just reboot it! If Halo can stick around this long, Gears should too. It's MS' most technically impressive game. 

eh I'd say yes. It introduces all the new characters, their ties to the old cast and more importantly the introduction of the new enemies.

Though, Gears 5 has a few Gears 4 flashbacks if I remember correctly. Still, I would give Gears 4 a shot. It's not awful, it's just poorly paced without many standout moments that keeps things fresh. Everytime you get to a new area you immediately see the conveniently placed blocks of cover and you know what's going to happen very soon (reminds me more of Judgment in that regard). It's just room after room after room of the same stuff. Then you have these forced Horde sections that grow old quickly. The only great thing about Gears 4 is the addition of extreme weather conditions as that can have a real (and fun) impact on combat.

Yeah I’m disappointed that not a lot on my wishlist is actually on sale, also saw that Gotham Knights is already on sale so RIP to those that bought it at full price.

There may be some hope for Saints Row now that Embracer has transfered Volition from Deep Silver to Gearbox Publishing. Hopefully Gearbox can get them straightened out and working on a new SR with the original characters we all know and love.

That's optimistic considering Gearbox's only good game is Borderlands

I think it may be for logistical purposes and financial ones, Gearbox is closer to Volition than Deep Silver and since Embracer seems so hands off even financially, I think each publisher division is funding itself, Gearbox is likely richer than Deep Silver.

Or another scenario is that Volition becomes a Borderlands support studio, Lol.
