This is a bit broken because my first Series X game was definitely not Control in July 2022, I played quite alot of games earlier than that as I got my Xbox Series X like 2 weeks after launch, games I played on Xbox Series X from launch through July 2022 when I played Control include: Watch Dogs Legions, Far Cry 6, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Scarlet Nexus.

I noticed that with mine as well, but I believe it has something to do with the fact everything was cross-gen forever and maybe TA can't decipher what platform you've played it on unless it was Series X|S exclusive

Controversial take: They need to Stop putting AAA first party games day 1 on Game Pass (Similar to COD, wait a year)

Also Tomorrow prediction
Compulsion Closed
Doublefine gutted or going independent
Ninja Theory Sold
Layoffs for Rare, undead labs, Turn10, Arkane

If project helix is indeed a pc/console hybrid...

Can they just allow usb blu ray drives to work?

Would cost them absolutely nothing.

Seems like an absolute easy goal to kick.

Has there been a confirmation of the cuts coming today?

Don't think Xbox discs can be read on a normal drive. Even back to the OG if you wanted to rip an Xbox game you had to use an original drive from an Xbox.

Recently someone has released a firmware that allows a few PC drives to be able to read OG/360 games but I don't know if it's technically possible for Microsoft to release drivers/firmware that would allow many generic Blu-ray drives to read Xbox Series game discs.

Them still only using 50gb game discs means if it were possible you shouldn't need a 4k UHD drive at least.

Surely they could do some software tinkering though, right?

This is potentially the opportunity for the biggest swing since the xbox one launch.

They need to take it.

My most recent purchase was Jedi survivor on disc. I'll regularly swap between digital and physical purchases as many do.

Well that's what is rumored, I don't think there's hard confirmation

Nothing closed as of yet, instead 2 studios going independent, 2 being sold,  Arkane Lyon currently looking for a buyer to avoid closing, 1600 Xbox employees laid off (less than the January 2024 Xbox layoffs which were 1900), though there will be a later round of layoffs before the end of this fiscal year (June 2027) which could be up to the same size for 3200 total over a year

Another 1,600 planned by end of June 2027.
