CoD Blackops 1+2 are being ported to playstation next month. With multiplayer too.

Not sure if Xbox is getting an updated version or not because oit already has the BC version. Hopefully does though because I think it didn't get a 4k BC update or anything and would be nice for the player base to get revitalised.

As far as I can tell, this is just a straight port of the original games. Not a remaster or anything like that.

Since they were PS3 games, they weren't playable on modern PS consoles. They were already 60fps on 360, so the only adjustment would be a resolution bump.

Would be nice to at least get some modernizations added because BC is pretty hacker ridden lol

If they're using the PC version as the basis for the port it'll have other graphical improvements too over the original console release.

Original Xbox 360 version is sub-720p so an update would be welcome.

GTA6 pre orders going live soon. Would be great to see a £59 price tag. They should do a £120 early play version that lets you play it early …. In September 💀

After 30 hours of Kiln, I figure I'll do a review.

Welcome to Double Fine's newest title "Kiln", a class based brawler where you inhabit various pots with a spirit with one goal in mind, to extinguish the enemies Kiln. Right off the bat you are greeted with Double Fine's signature charm with it's cutesy cartoon visuals and humor and thrown into a tutorial. The tutorial does a good job teaching the mechanics of the game. Once you make it to the hub world you can create your own pots, meet with other players, and start matchmaking.

Quickly you'll realize that aside from unlocking decorations and different clay sizes/tools (that you unlock early on), there isn't really much to work towards in this game. No true progression system, No career missions, nothing to really keep players engaged. The true star of the game is the actual pot making process where you can create different shapes and sizes, there's 8 different shapes that determine your skill move. The wider and taller the pot the more water it can carry and the less health it has and vice versa. It can also determine how fast you are for an example small pots are the fastest but also have the lowest health but they also have some advantages on maps where they are the only ones able to access a certain path. For the most part, this class based system seems fairly balanced.

My biggest gripe is there isn't much depth to it, there's only a standard basic attack, ground slam attack, and your special move. All of these are determined by your shape and size. There's no ability customization at all, which makes combat feel basic and stale at times. Having so many shapes and sizes in a match also can make for some very clunky gameplay around the maps, bigger pots unable to fit through main entries or the bottle type being unable to roll through a lot of places and blocking the path for everyone. Another issue is that there is only one game mode (Quench), launching with one game mode and 5 maps for a MP only game is severely lacking. They have a roadmap announced where they hint at more ways to play but will this game last till fall?

The Hub world also feels a little barren, there's the wheels to craft your pots, a shop, a place to start matchmaking, and a very basic training area. The saving grace is being able to see other people's creations and trading pots in the same server otherwise like everything else it leaves much to be desired. Despite all the complaints I did have a fun time with the game, I see the vision DF had for it, I just wish it spent a little more time in the Kiln.

+ Pot Creation

+ DH Charm

- Needs more content

- Would like more depth in combat

Xbox is dead.
Predicting Double Fine, Ninja Theory, Turn 10, Compulsion all dead and buried.

This game was trash, fuck you for playing without me.

EW can also report that Sea of Thieves will be developed into a live-action movie. Marvel filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton (Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) will produce through his company, Hisako Films. A director is not yet attached.

"The main character of a Sea of Thieves game is actually the player and the community," Booty explains. "So if you sit down to think about Sea of Thieves, it's not, Who are the main characters? What's the plot? It's a super social game, but there's a tone to Sea of Thieves. It's built on a very cooperative community, so you can start to sense what that's going to be like."

Other known adaptations include animated series based on Gears of War and Minecraft (both at Netflix), a live-action Wolfenstein show at Amazon, and a Fallout Shelter reality competition (now filming).

The previous Halo adaptation at Paramount+ didn't make it past season 2, but the series shot to the top of the charts when Netflix picked up its streaming distribution. Could it come back?

"Halo, first and foremost, is one of our biggest franchises," Booty more generally comments on the property. "It's iconic to Xbox and we're certainly going to invest going forward."

As for the rest of the titles that make up the over a dozen adaptations in the works, Xbox isn't quite ready to talk about them. But will they say anything about a possible animated Candy Crush movie?

"I think it'd be super fun,” says Todd Green, the head of Candy Crush owner King, another jewel under the Xbox umbrella. "We do have a rich cast of characters and there's something very distinctive both tonally in the experience and visually about Candy Crush. What we're trying to do is explore the boundaries beyond the games."

"We've got over 20 franchises that have made a billion dollars, lifetime," Booty recognizes of the games under their umbrella. "I feel a lot of responsibility to shepherd that. We're the stewards of that IP. We're not the owners, because really, the communities own those."

Sharma clarifies, "You won't see us try to become the biggest linear provider in the world or anything like that, but I think great games are culture, and culture is entertainment. If you think about it, we've got the number two show of all time on Amazon [Fallout], Minecraft was top 5 in 2025, Call of Duty is bigger than the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So it all measures. [There's] more appetite to work with us on titles than ever before."

Korean studio EVR, the team behind "MUDANG: Two Hearts", has gone bankrupt on June 5.

The development of Mudang: Two Hearts has been officially discontinued.
