Curious but did you get SE Infinite Undiscovery?  It is on my list but it never goes on sale (19.99 but want it cheaper ha)

Yes! I didnt wait for sale, I bought a few Xbox and Xbox 360 games at their current MSRP, I went through the b/c list on the Xbox site and just bought them when I first got my Series S.

Havent played this one yet but I plan to.

The GaaS side of online gaming is another major component, for sure.  Keeping with the Ready Player One example: imagine if a later edition came out that incorporated Fidget Spinners as a weapon or other recent cultural phenomena alongside all of the 80s nostalgia.  At this stage, anything less than a "hard M-rated" series could be eligible for the Fortnite spotlight.

My son would be all over that Fidget Spinner as  a weapon in Fortnite so yeah, I totally agree that these GaaS games going that route seems about right.  Lately we have been seeing a lot of crossovers in these games even with the new Helldivers 2 and Halo.  I just read that Overwatch 2 is getting a whole crossover event from Persona not just the Joker addition.  I am sure this isn't going to be the first of these type of additions.  Now if they got Street Fighter or Tekken characters and that actually might get me to bite.

Indeed.  The Joker addition to Overwatch 2 is what prompted my "Fortnite-ification" response here.

And that's the thing with that potential Fortnite crossovers with those fighting legends: it's not impossible for Epic to incorporate a limited-time mechanic where the last two standing in a Battle Royale get transported to an arena and have a traditional 2D fight with various SF or Tekken button combos incorporated into it.  It's like... Cultural Velcro at this point lol.  Even Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another is getting some type of Fortnite treatment.  It's not over 25 years old (yet), so it's safe to assume Di Caprio agreed to this arrangement.

Battlefield 6 (XS) Review -- 6.5/10 |

We've seen official, widely circulated documents strongly suggesting that Forza Horizon 6 is actually planned to be announced during 2025's Tokyo Game Show, an annual gaming-focused conference kicking off in Japan toward the end of September.

Deleted Post Teases Forza Horizon 6 Setting | Windows Central

I don't think Forza Horizon has ever been revealed outside of May/June. I know if they announced it at TGS it would likely only be because it's set in Japan but I can have hopium that it also means it's not far from release and will launch first half of 2026 with Fable punted to Holiday 26, Lol. I doubt it, but Forza Horizon announced a year ahead of release feels like a long time in comparison to usual.

GOAT Leaker Has Spoken

NatetheHate2

The plan is to announce this year, with TGS being the venue of intent. The game is set in Japan.

Forza Horizon 6 is going to be bonkers massive, it's already a tens of million franchise per entry between only Xbox and PC. Forza Horizon 5 reaching 50m+ players lifetime, including millions sold individually on Xbox and Steam. Millions sold on PlayStation despite being a 4 year old port. Game Pass has grown since 2021. The franchise has exploded and it will now launch day one on PlayStation 5. Xbox established player-base (millions) + Steam (millions) + PlayStation 5 at launch (now millions fanbase) + Japan (easy hype driver) + 5 years since the last entry. I think outside of Mario Kart it will be the biggest racing title launch ever in sales alone, that's before we even get into players, Lol.

Forza Horizon 5 had over 1.2m premium edition buyers alone, the more expensive early access option which was an estimate of $54m-$118m in revenue before it even released fully to everyone. It reached 4.5m players less than 24 hours after launch and over 10 million in the first week. So what do we think Forza Horizon 6's early access premium edition will do (if they still have a leaderboard to check, Lol) now that the player base has expanded and it has added PlayStation at launch. What do we think it will reach 24 hours after release and 1 week after released?

Servers are going to die.

Also that isn't even counting that there's a possibility of it launching on Switch 2 but I wouldn't say that's a sure thing.

GOAT leaker to me is synonym for ahole number 1 of the industry haha.

I hate these dudes killing every surprise so much. Not only because it's better for us to get nice surprises but I also feel sad for most devs who probably hate it that their surprises are already known weeks or months before that special moment.

The leak will probably get more people to tune into TGS this year at least

Nate on Twitter said he hasn't heard of a Switch 2 version.

If I had to pick Forza Horizon 6 or Fable launching near GTA 6 I'd pick Forza Horizon 6, I think it would be able to take the hit far better than Fable. It feels like it would be a bit of a logistical nightmare for Playground to release two massive titles in the Holiday, I'd also personally prefer one in the first half and one in the second half but launching them close together is probably what they're going to do, Lol.

Some crazy shit like Forza Horizon 6 in September and Fable in October.

Sheesh. Credit to Ninja Theory, dark rot mode in HB2 is up there with difficulties like Halo 2 legendary.
