If you're here about articles regarding FH5 sales, I unfortunately dont actually have any internal sales figures lol.

I simply picked that number from this analytics post earlier this month:

People need to stop using Alinea, they're nonsense numbers, but it is kind of funny a (former) Xbox employee doesn't have a clue what the numbers actually are either, the industry is far too secretive, or maybe just Microsoft. Anyway I don't doubt Forza Horizon has likely sold millions on PS5, you can make a decently educated guess based on the leaderboard change, maybe look into how much the leaderboard increased pre-PS port and then look at how much it increased post-PS port and remove the difference.

Alinea likely just basing it off reviews though, Lol.

Forza Horizon 6 will be massive, as for Fable, I hope it's day one on PS5, Microsoft will demand it be a massive hit.

Lets move on and not escalate this any further, things are on the brink of going too far.

Maybe erase your comments and treat it as a major miscommunication, it could have became a very nasty argument.

I'm moving on too, tensions are increasing and clearly passing onto others, this thread is dead as fuck lately and only active when it's to argue with each other, Lmao. It might go dead again but I don't want people to say anything they will regret or things to go too far and we're all ripping each others throats out, I'm going back to my TV Shows 😂😂😂

I think emotions are still understandably heightened due to recent events and admittedly I have zero desire to say anything positive about Microsoft lately, or even play on their Xbox, so I will end up posting mostly negative stuff, Lol. But it isn't worth it if it causes animosity between users. I think I'll just distract myself with more TV Shows and try to get back into gaming later, Lol

Don't worry, Nintendo will come to the rescue.

Hmm I did not really defended or hated on Perfect Dark, what I saw and heard did not really do it for me and ofcourse the studio was competent and made a great game or had some guidance in doing so;..Who knows maybe if AI was available earlier we would have had a game now.

Don't really know what to expect about AI's future but in the last few months:

- I saw kids moving away from cocomelon/Russian kids show like Vlad and NIcky and replacing their view time with AI generated stuff and shows (not even mentioning Trilili and Trilala, Bombardino Crocodilo...

- I saw an news video about Mexican rescue workers helping in Texas who then got Caught by Ice... and like the majority of the comments could not tell if it is real news or AI...

- I saw BO6 having AI skins/cards/emblems and one person on my friends list bought an AI created skin 25€....

- I was recommended TalkPal, a language app that lets you chat with an AI personality in the language you want to learn and I was honestly impressed..

- Teens are watching less XXX rated stuff because they still their hunger with AI GF's/Bf's...

-  Also if you want something Positve:  Phil/Sarah and Nadella are replaceable by AI

Edit:

Avowed got a 'big' patch: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/134877-patch-15-notes/

I might just wait and see if Valve does a Steam Deck 2 instead of getting ROG Xbox Ally X now.

Still waiting for proper use of AI in games.

While playing Metaphor I noticed again how many JRPGs don't even have fully voiced dialogue. After having played Expedition 33 just before, it's a huge step back.
When you can't pay money for voice actors then at least use AI.

I'm seeing this headline make the rounds on Reddit but it is incredibly misleading. The people who worked on Blackbird at ZeniMax Online Studios are only still employed while their union negotiates a severance package. Almost all of them are losing their jobs. Just hasn't formally happened yet

Yeah, I was leaning towards this being the case, it's the union stopping Microsoft from outright laying them off.

Obviously that sucks but at least the union will be forcing Microsoft to give its employees the best possible severance package and while they're negotiating Microsoft will still have to be paying them full pay and benefits, it will give the employees time to find another job too.

Every studio under Microsoft should unionise to make these layoffs as painful as possible for Microsoft.

For years now I've watched dozens of complaints from the ResetEra Xbox OT and Xbox Reddits about how trash Microsoft's translations are on non-English systems, even for basic stuff like the MS Store and OS things. They get basic translations wrong and it's almost certainly because they're just using Bing for straight English translations, Lol.

Imagine Microsoft using AI for voice actors, Lmfao.

Anyway here is a thread about it: Let’s talk about Xbox’s UI translations around the world - what’s going wrong? | ResetEra

Sea of Thieves once had unachievable quests in France due to inaccurate translations so people had to use a guide, Lmao. I shouldn't laugh really because it's really unfair to non-English speakers, it's a complete embarrassment how poor Microsoft's translations are. When they can't get basic translations correct, I wouldn't trust them to use AI voice actors.

I'm in the ballpark of believing both rumors to be more true than untrue. No matter what anyone believes, it doesn't change what happened. Unless new info releases, I don't see why I should worry about what others think is true or not.

I guess it's just annoying when I post in support of the Union and then have defensive Xbox fans come in and tell me that I can't be mad about a game being cancelled because I never played it and therefore can't put any blame on Microsoft at all. And those same people will happily then believe the Perfect Dark rumours to jump to Xbox's defence in cancelling Perfect Dark, Lol.

It's hypocritical and quite honestly, comes across as fanboy defence. It's okay to criticise Microsoft, Lol.

I'm not talking about you BTW.

You want to accuse other of being hypocritical fanboys?

The only thing you seem interested in is finding excuses to criticise Microsoft's corporate greed so you can go on another long-winded anti-capitalism rant.

When have you ever actually made some constructive criticism about the incompetent mishandling of Xbox division specifically which led to this point?

You constantly give the well paid Xbox executives a free pass as if they were all having to operate with a Microsoft accountant holding a gun to their heads.

Reality is that Xbox division had all the resources and tools in the world they could ask for, they were free to create and prosper in whatever direction they chose, and the direction they chose was mediocrity and disappointment. If they hadn't done such a poor job managing the division in the first place, Microsoft wouldn't be so quick to cut their losses.

You just want to blame a corporation for behaving in the same way corporations have always behaved. If Xbox was run well and successful, they would be protected and the people's jobs would be protected.
