Loving every second of Oblivion Remaster so far, even despite the 3 crashes I had today, Lol. Two were in the damn Oblivion Plane and I'm like 99% sure the Oblivion Plane was very crashy in the original Oblivion too when exiting all the damn doors, Lol. But I couldn't stop playing it, I had the biggest grin on my face during the intro scene, then when the music blasted, then the exit, then just played it non-stop, Lol. It almost feels like a new game and all the nostalgia hits and I'm constantly like "Oh shit I remember this part" Lol.

Just a complete nostalgia fest feeling that actually feels good to play in 2025. Also I don't really get this excited about remasters as I've said before, unless it's one of my favourite games ever and a remaster of an old game, even then I didn't bother with Mass Effect Collection despite it being one of my favourite IPs ever, I wouldn't likely care that deeply about a New Vegas remaster despite me enjoying that, I obviously was all over the Halo Remasters though and I feel the same way about Oblivion Remaster.

Onto all day session tomorrow!

Game Pass Ultimate is just too expensive and excessive for console users. I'm glad I can actually use most of it's features in the coming weeks and switch to PC Game Pass after a month.

Seems ironic to even use Game Pass, but the combination of building a new PC and pre-ordering Switch 2 in the same time frame, along with not having physical copies for Oblivion remaster nor Clair Obscur available, made it a simple short-term solution.

Disney+ is already a sub service that I try to avoid when possible because of how expensive it is compared to others. The fact that Game Pass Ultimate topped that by a fair bit was eye-popping.

I wish they did an Oblivion controller and console wrap.

Or an Elder Scroll themed console wrap that literally makes you blind.

Yeah, Oblivion still feels really good to play. And a pre-Ubisoft open world that doesn't overwhelm you with stuff somehow feels more completable and it's great.

I know there are two in development and one at very early stages, but it's quite wild it'll be 10 years this November since the last mainline, single-player Fallout game.

It's easily one of Microsoft's biggest franchise and on a game side, they're not capitalising (yet).

Two in development? Remaster + Spinoff?

Or is he saying there's two mainline entries in development?

New from me: Xbox Game Pass is having one of its most insane quarters ever, and the best is yet to come.

Xbox Game Pass rumored to slowly but surely approach 50 M subscribers, which I have reasons to believe is true. That's a lot of money as a steady revenue stream, and while honestly I don't give a damn on how much money Xbox makes, I do hope it gives all those studios the needed foundational security to never again have an moment on the scale of May 7, 2024.

Nearing 50m would be an amazing achievement, I always said their 100m+ target was fucking dumb, it screamed one of those typical pie in the sky corporate targets but any sensible person would be absolutely thrilled with nearly 50m, especially since according to the EU, Game Pass Ultimate accounts for 70-80% of all Game Pass subscribers.

Gamepass ultimate is far too cheap especially where I stay in nz. A month is about 28 nzd. I do buy games when it's good and buy PS5 and switch. I save thousands a year which is really. It's too cheap for what you get .

While it may be expensive, the value easily makes it worthwhile. It exceeds Disney+ by a good amount with the value it offers. It all comes down to how much each person uses the service. I certainly get my money's worth with Game Pass, but if you only play 2 or 3 games from the service in a year, then I wouldn't recommend it. This month and next month alone already covers the cost of an entire year for what I intend to play. Same with Disney+. Also, it's not hard to find discounts on Game Pass Ultimate if you look around and you can use reward points.

I let my Gamepass Ultimate lapse because I was so busy with other games. Not sure yet if I will sub to PC Gamepass or Gamepass Ultimate to play Oblivion remake, but either way I will sub to one of them next week sometime, wanted to get a bit more of Zenless Zone Zero done first to try and pull for a good S rank character (started it early on PC to get a decent account ready for the Xbox release in June).

Leaning towards PC Gamepass, the MS Rewards points cost difference is fairly substantial, 28,000 points for 3 months vs 42,000. I can always sub to Ultimate later when some EA game I want to play drops, but no idea when that will be, probably won't even play Dragon Age: The Veilguard since it ended up such a mess.
