Ryuu is a day 1 Ubiboi.. he’s a literal lost cause RIP.

Ubi games are amazing, not sure why people have against them seriously; I get that all games are not perfect but come on now, Ubisoft games are not shit, people cannot just let it go for some reason and keep shitting on them because it is the cool thing to do of the moment :)

Will definitely be playing it the minute it is online next week too :D

It’s probably best to let the Life is Strange franchise retire at this point. Double Exposure is an exhausting game to play.

Just wait till the second playthrough if you getting the plat

15 Years Of Metro - Celebration

Hello everyone,

We shared with you earlier this month that we wanted to tell you more about the status of our team and our future, so what better opportunity to do so as celebration of Metro’s 15th anniversary.

In honor of the incredible 15 years of Metro, we’ve created a video to celebrate our journey throughout the tunnels of the metro, made possible by our devoted community that have supported us along the way. This is our thanks to you, the players.

Metro Turns 15

The legacy and success of Metro over the past decade and a half is something we at 4A Games are incredibly proud of. It actually started 20 years ago when 4A Games was founded, and inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky’s then online novel, we began to work on our inaugural title of the same name, Metro 2033. Our partnership has continued, and he is working with us on our next Metro title, but more on that later.

Many of the development team here at 4A Games have seen Metro evolve over the past 15 years. It is amazing to see the advancement from the pages of a novel, into a fully realised game, through ever-improving sequels, and now into a global franchise with millions of players. We have loved being able to grow and foster an incredible community which has gone from strength to strength along with us. What we are achieving now was a far distant dream all those many years ago, and we are lucky to have so many dedicated, talented developers who are as passionate about the series as you, the players.

Throughout this year, there will be events, deals and celebratory content on the Metro social media channels, to thank you, our players for coming on the journey so far with us. We encourage you to share your favourite Metro memories with #Metro15 – we can’t wait to see what your favourite moments over the years have been, it's inspiring and an honour to know that you are celebrating with us.

Studio

Alongside the evolution of Metro, our studio has also been on a journey from releasing our first game with a 60-person team in 2010, to now 200+ across two locations – From Kyiv, where 150 of our development team are based, to our headquarters in Sliema, Malta, following our expansion in 2014 – with two triple-A projects in development – The next Metro of course, and a brand-new unannounced IP. Using everything we have learned over the past 20 years we are pushing our ambitions even higher than ever before.

Speaking to our heritage, we at 4A Games are incredibly proud of our involvement in the growth of the Ukrainian development community through the evolution of the Metro series and our colleagues’ involvement in the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. A once small video games development scene, is now a thriving one, putting incredible entertainment IP on the map.

We do want to reassure you that work is continuing on both of our projects despite missile strikes, air-raid sirens, and terror still raining down on Ukraine. These circumstances are incredibly challenging, the situation remains dangerous and not within our control, but we are currently as safe as possible, and we want to manage your expectations around the reveal of the next Metro title, it will be ready when it is ready, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

The Next Metro

As we said in our last studio update, in 2022 a full-scale russian invasion changed how we wanted to tell the story of the next Metro game. As art became life for many of our developers in Ukraine, we drew from that lived experience to create an even darker story, those themes already present in Metro becoming ever-more apparent and important. As conflict, the struggle for power, the horrors of tyranny, and the price of freedom have become part of our lives over the past 3+ years, we are still living and working during this wartime, and that inevitably shapes the games we make.

Metro has always had a hard-hitting, political, anti-war and often emotional story - and you can be sure these themes will continue thanks to our ongoing collaboration with franchise creator, author, and activist Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Dmitry has always spoken out against the war in Ukraine from the start – a courageous decision for any russian, that has seen him sentenced to jail (in absentia) - and we are proud to have him as a friend and co-creator as we tell this next, and never more relevant chapter of Metro together.

Rest assured, you are in for quite the ride.

To our community, thank you for your words of support, your patience and your excitement over what is to come. We are grateful to have you, and rest assured, despite the challenges we face, we will overcome them as we have all others before.

The fact that you cant skip dialogue made the 2nd run unbearable, and the other choice really didn't add that much of a difference. I was bored out my mind

I also enjoy Ubi games, they have some issues especially in recent years, but generally speaking they have consistently delivered enjoyable games for me for the last 17 or so years since I played the original Assassin's Creed. The Ubisoft hate definitely seems overblown to me, they are far from the worst of the game publishers (that has consistently been EA for the entire time people have been hating on Ubisoft).

But speaking as a price conscious gamer, people are definitely right that their games go on sale quickly, you can often find their games on sale for 40% or more off within 2 or 3 months, they discount their games faster than any other publisher. It does make paying full price for their games seem like a bad investment. And if you don't care about game ownership that much, and have enough free time to play through one of their games in less than a month, you can even play a brand new Ubisoft game via their Ubisoft+ subscription for $18 (they also have their yearly plan 40% off right now, so for $108 you can play every Ubisoft game available now and releasing within the next year, and the DLC's for those games, makes spending $70 for just AC Shadows seem like a much less wise investment, unless you know you will replay it multiple times over the years).

Ubisoft is basically selling their company because of the haters?

Skull and bones is one of the highest failures and waste of the money of this generation certainly belong in the list with Concord and Redfall..

Star wars Outlaws quality was bad you barely find any defenders of the game

Far cry and Valhalla felt very stale and bloated

Prince of Persia was priced wrong should have been a 25$€ max.

The last game that felt original and honestly made with care was Mario Rabbids since then they fell off;.

Just talking about Star Wars:

it has a 4.3/5 on Epic Store, 4,05 on True Achievements, "mostly positive" on Steam. That's not crazy but also not as bad as you would think if you watch hatefluencers like Amsongold on Youtube whose main purpose is to make 20 videos about a single game just to destroy it. Most who played that game liked it at least.

Well you will always find people who love or hate a game I mean the game also has a 75 on metacritic and a user rating between 5.5-6.3/10 the game clearly has(had) issues.

Thing is, Ubisoft is "not" selling their company... And yes, the haters are the ones coming up with that rhetoric...
I mean, this is the same with everything. Whenever Xbox does not something, it is always exaggerated 100 times. (and you are def. very guilty of that).

Ubisoft is restructuring -> "they are doomed, they are selling off"

Ubisoft wants to focus on some IPs -> "They are doomed they are selling off"

Ubisoft does whatever -> "They are doomed, they are selling off"...

I mean, it was the same with EA at some point. Now Ubisoft and Xbox to some extends... Nothing new.

More gamers today think that it can be only black or white... If you are not first, then everything you are trash (same with Xbox).

Ubisoft, is doing fine; Xbox is doing fine, nobody is doomed...

Anyway, if anything, I would love to have Ubi sell Splinter Cell to Microsoft :) They are doing great with AC, but I do not understand why they are not coming up with new Splinter Cell. Maybe it is me but well...
