More new games for PlayStation users, more old games for Xbox users. Still no Final Fantasy. Still no Black Myth Wukong. Still no Stellar Blade. Still no Silent Hill 2 remake. That's on Xbox of course. That shouldn't bother most of you though, since most of you own PS5s anyway, then come here to tell me why I should just be happy about the state of Xbox. I guess I'll just be happy then |
Go play on PlayStation then. It's that simple. Xbox has a bunch of new games coming out this year so I'm certainly happy with the output. Also, dismissing a Gears Collection because it's new to PS is weird and comes off as you complaining just to complain. If it's anything like MCC, and its done well, it will be awesome. All those other games you listed either are published by PS or they have some kind of exclusive contract besides Wukong (presumably). |
I'm not dismissing a Gears collection. But it's a fact that most people who still own an Xbox are likely to have played those games. They have less value to Xbox owners.
Every decision Xbox has made recently is to benefit the largest market they can appeal to, which often means people on Xbox (their own branded service) being put last. Do you think that's a good way to run a brand?
Also a game like Stellar Blade wasn't meant to be published by Sony. They simply saw the potential and decided to snatch it. It's no different than an exclusivity deal. All that has happened in front of Xbox, meanwhile they've payed massive amounts to aquire studios just so they can put more games on PlayStation while there's still less coming back the other way to their machine.
I'm just not seeing where this adds up, unless the relevance and growth of GamePass is just so massive right now and I've somehow managed to miss it. But right now Xbox is just a GamePass machine, and I'm not sure how that product grows if you're not even selling many of them.
