So there is a rumor going around Activision is releasing a new HD remaster compilation of the first 3 Skylanders games in Q4 this year, with no figurines required this time, and that Phil Spencer is the one who convinced them to make it. Apparently in one of the first interviews Phil gave after announcing the acquisition last January, he said that there were several dormant Activision series he wanted to see revived, including Skylanders and Guitar Hero. Then, last month he apparently did an interview where he let slip that "toys to life" would be coming back in 2023. Now we have Activision apparently sending out an official survey where they mention the Skylanders Compilation, here is a picture from the supposed survey:

That would be a VERY quick turnaround if true! But very welcome. Instant access to quite a few family friendly titles. Without the hassle of the figurines lol

I'd love a new guitar hero too. Hopefully we get word if Diablo 4 will be on game pass soon.

We probably won't know about any ABK games hitting Game Pass until the deal closes (assuming it does). If the EC and CMA pass it then maybe the deal can close before the July 18th termination date.

Another day with no Game Pass drop.

Oddly quiet.

All while the Xbox twitter has been pretty active so far this week in teasing upcoming games. Mainly Starfield.

In the past I believe like 85% of Gamepass updates dropped on the 1st and 3rd tuesday of a month, and the other 15% were 1st or 3rd thursday drops from what I've heard. If we don't get a drop tomorrow, it could mean one of 2 things imo:

  1. The no 2nd update last month wasn't a one-off fluke, and Xbox is moving to a single Gamepass update per month like Sony does with PS+ mid and high tier drops, and the new week for those single monthly drops will be 2nd, 3rd, or 4th week instead of the 1st week
  2. Xbox is purposefully holding back this month's 1st Gamepass drop for the rumored Q1 Xbox showcase, which will likely be the rumored Nintendo Direct/PS State of Play like digital show that Xbox has seemingly been hiring staff for in recent months.

"During the latest episode of XNC Podcast, host Colt Eastwood mentioned that he’s heard from a channel of people, who have presumably been play testing Starfield, that Bethesda’s forthcoming action RPG is bigger and more ambitious than what was previously expected.

According to Eastwood’s sources, Starfield is bigger than anything seen in Skyrim and Fallout. It takes everything the studio did with these two games and considerably expands upon. He claims to have spoken to a channel of play testers who have been closely involved with the game, and he’s been hearing great things about it. Based on what he’s heard, Bethesda has “nailed” the sense of scale.

Eastwood said that he doesn’t intend on overselling Starfield to fans, but all he’s been hearing are positive impressions from the people he’s spoken to, some of whom he claimed were pessimistic about the game."

Interesting but aren't play testers testing out every aspect of the game during development? It's odd that they wouldn't be aware of the scope and size of the game.

Long ago yeah but games got bigger so it makes sense that they test a mode SP/MP or some kind of side quests driving shooting, flying etc whatever...

Don't want to double post but will do it anyway:

The Ms rewards points value changed. Monthly quests are only 500 points now but weekly quests are now 250 (instead of 25)
