I've only heard good things about Avowed.

Who would be crazy enough to doubt Obsidian?

I will be hopping back into Wonderlands later today, which I didn't quite get finished in 2022. The first few games I will start in 2023 on Xbox will be Sonic Frontiers, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and Judgment 1. My first (and likely only) day one game purchase of 2023 will be Hogwarts Legacy in February, the rest of the 2023 releases that interest me I will either play day one on Gamepass, or buy in sales later on.

Lol, yeah Obsidian has released nothing but good games over the past 4/5 years. I have absolutely zero doubt in the capability of Obsidian (easily the best studio pickup by MS IMO).

Sea of Stars and Redemption Reapers are also high on my radar.

Played some Halo Infinite co-op campaign already. Had to replay 3 missions because of this stupid save system.
But the game I will be playing the most is Witcher 3. Luckily I had covid so I could stay home an play it all Christmas already.
As for 2023 games I'm mostly looking forward to Starfield and Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. I took part in kickstarter for it when I found out they'll remake it with young Sherlock.

Yeah, Obsidian has one of the best track records of any studio in Xbox's stable, they have been pretty consistently an 80+ meta studio since they opened in 2003, with only 3 games in their history scoring under 80, Alpha Protocol, Dungeon Siege 3, and Skyforge (which was co-developed with another studio and only got reviewed by a small handful of critics).
What's more, the director of Dungeon Siege 3 is no longer there, he left for Blizzard 4 years ago where he is now an Assistant Production Director, while Chris Parker, the director of Alpha Protocol, Obsidian's lowest reviewed AAA game to date, also directed the excellent South Park: The Stick of Truth. Chris Parker is believed to have been the director of Avowed during it's first 3 years of development, but Carrie Pattel, the director of The Outer Worlds' Peril on Gorgon DLC (who before that was the Narrative Co-Lead on Pillars of Eternity 2 and a Senior Narrative Designer on The Outer Worlds main game), replaced him as director on Avowed when Avowed got a soft reboot in 2021 I believe.
