I've seen far more excitement for Gears E-Day than I have seen people disappointed we're not (yet) getting a Gears 6 because quite frankly a lot of people prefer that older cast of characters (not saying the new ones are bad) but it's like Chief, people can't let go of him. I see absolute zero risk about Gears E-Day. Could have been a DLC? How? What? Lol. That's like saying Halo Reach could have been a DLC.

Age of Mythology Retold charted well on Steam before release and during release, it also charted well in region specific charts, especially considering it's firstly an RTS and secondly, one which is a remake of a 20 year old game that only ever received one entry in its entire franchise. On Steam is peaked at 25k which is only 13k less than the widely considered, very successful, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. It currently has 6,000 currently playing it on Steam and almost 100,000 followers. It also sits at an 89% rating on Steam and an 83 OpenCritic. On TrueAchievements it debuted at 11th IIRC and has currently 62,000 listed gamers on TA and multiple users here played it even on both Xbox and PC and enjoyed it but yeah people didn't care.

Towerborne...Really? The early access game available only on Steam which costs $25 to get into the early access but will be free on release? The early access clearly wasn't designed to be played by tens of thousands of players right from the start, hence why it isn't coming to Xbox for months, it was designed to get feedback on the basic core mechanics and go from there. They're basically doing a slightly larger version of an internal beta, Lmao. You've doomed it before it has even released. Give me a fucking break.

It got decent marketing for what it was but it underperformed both critically and commercially.
