I bought the premium upgrade for Starfield and played it at launch and didn't have a good time. My plan was to wait for the expansion to give it another try, as I'd already paid for it, but with how it's been received I think I'll just keep waiting. With how much I love Fallout 3/4 and Skyrim I want to love this game but I'll wait until the final expansion/update to give it the best shot of winning me over on my second try.

Played shattered space for a bit and honestly it so dissapointing, I don't get it how do people defend it?

You do know just because you do not like something does not mean everyone else has the same opinion.  I am sure if you keep searching, you will find like minded people out there just believe.

Defending it? I mean, it is about taste you know. You may not like it but other people do.

I really like it personally so far; I would have liked it even more if it would be on multiple planets/star system but this is still very good. We can all find things that we do not like at the end. But there is no "defending" in not having the same opinion/taste than yours.

If it was just about *liking* I would be fine with it but the issues are much deeper.

Game launched with many issues, they solved some but many they didn't and instead of doing so they introduced the creation club with expensive quests that pissed of their own community of fans...

Then they released shattered space in honestly a disturbing bad state and they know it was bad because they didn't even send review copies out...

Since my post the game got reviews and is barely reaching 60/100 on Meta;opencritic and fan reviews aren't great even bethesda fans like Mattyplays uploaded a heartbroken video..

They had a small group left who still hoped they can make the fans happy with the DLC but after its release it is clear many are out....  This is troublesome for the future of the studio who will still believe in them?

Just started watching it! Gonna be a painful wait for release. To think this game was originally scheduled to have released 2 years ago. I don't think any studio has gone through this amount of struggles to release their game. I'm hoping this turns into GOTY material.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Haha imagine thinking Bethesda is in trouble coz of a misfire haha … I can see why Ryuu dumped this thread.

Todd and his brand of Bethesda have been mediocre for 15 years—outdated gameplay. The presentation of the story and scenes are still stuck in 1996. I can't take a game seriously anymore if its way of having exposition from an NPC is an FP shot of the NPC square in the middle of a flat shot not moving just talking like Hanna Barbara cartoon from the 70s. Cyberpunk 2077 has plenty of game design issues, but its presentation is modern and feels dynamic even when scripted.
